I like also his Berg with Petrenko and BPO. On RU-vid there is a vid with the hr-Orchestra and Altinoglu, great.

David Hurwitz (RU-vid guy) says this is the greatest performance of the Berg violin concerto that he's ever heard.

I agree with him, it is a wonderful performance, I have tryied many times to listen this concerto, then I find this version !!!

I do think this performance is good as Hurwitz said it is. However, deep in my heart, I do know that I love the Perlman/Ozawa recording even more.

Dmitry Shostakovich gave his sohn - Maxim - to Yakov Flier piano class at the Moscow conservatory. Years later Professor and his former student made together this record.
