Is there any chance you'll do a 'Kill All, No Gun' challenge on Grounded with Permadeath for the remake, including "Left Behind"? Also, since this was done before the big update where it changed a lot of things, it may be a good idea to play offline, as certain strategies may not work the same way with updates. For the native PS5 version of the second game, I don't think it matters much. But for the remake of this game, it actually matters, as I play all games offline, starting from seventh generation onwards.
It is a possibility especially because it's been a while I didn't play remale, I'm little busy this past few weeks but. Yeah I know there was a huge update few months after the launch of the game, correcting a lot of glitches but also changing strats on some areas
From a streamer I saw attempting Permadeath on Grounded difficulty, the strategy seems to be more consistent. It goes like this... Part 1: After Joel stealth kills the clicker, instead of stealth killing the stationary runner by the see-through window, go and stealth kill the moving runner, then go back and stealth kill the stationary runner by the see-through window. Part 2: Pay attention to the runner, and as soon as the runner moves from the bookshelf, go to the other side by the see-through window; pay attention to the other runner, and as soon as the other runner goes off-screen, wait for 6 seconds, then throw a bottle at the spot (the wall where the door used to be) where the runner was stealth killed to have the clicker hear the sound so it can be stealth killed. Part 3: Pick up another bottle, smash the snack vending machine to have the runner hear the sound so it can be stealth killed; be prepared to throw the bottle just in case. Joel should stealth kill the last runner at that point. It was from a streamer known as AKblackandred on RU-vid.
You left off exactly where I left off for today, I think this chapter has the most difficult confrontations in the entire game, I'm afraid of dying and losing all the progress I've made 😭
Yes aiming while moving makes less noise than walking slowly. The best way still remains crouching but in this strat it is too slow to catch the clicker in time
This is the longest 'Kill All, No Gun' video I've seen. Even with this strategy, it looks like it still requires a bit of improvising. This also proves to be the most difficult encounter, and this is only the first half (bottom floor) of this section!
0:17... I usually never go there because there is a chance that Ellie will go aggressive. Instead, I go all the way to the left, wait for Ellie to say one of her quotes, then strike from behind for consistency. Phase 2 is pretty consistent, as far as I know. Phase 3 is the most random, as Ellie can be at 8 different spots.
For me second phase was pretty consistent, sometimes she would not go exactly as in the video but a little further to the right. Important thing here is Ellie having her back turned and not looking in Abby's direction. For phase 3, most of the time she will put a bomb on the ground, maybe at a different spot but eventually you will be able to brick the bomb and stun her
This one (the bad RNG) is also very hard to understand. Like at 7:12 onwards. Taking out that WLF Soldier with a crossbow arrow seems to have been intentional. Then it becomes confusing afterwards. Can you explain what exactly is done for the strategy to work in regard to the RNG?
Like I said in a previous comment, no really strat in there or a bribe of strat. Imo, you should just focus on the ressources you use : 2 arrows, 1 pipe, 1 brick/bottle maximum. Then the rest is at your will but the fact to get alerted and go outside is how I do it to manage the area
I have been watching your 'Kill All, No Gun' videos, and it has been easy to understand so far. But out of all the 'Kill All, No Gun' strategies, this one is the hardest to understand. Like at 5:48 onwards. It seems the strategy is to lure one of the WLF Soldiers and take one out. Then it becomes confusing. Can you explain what exactly is done for the strategy to work in regard to the RNG?
Yeah of course this area is difficult as the RNG can vary a lot. So the idea is to kill the first four (one by stealth, the other one Lev, and 2 other with the crossbow). Then as you said the idea is to get alerted and kill WLF outside if possible (mostly they will lose sight). After you killed 11 WLF(or 12 I don't remember), 2 are missing. The idea with the last two is to kill the guy with a pipe bomb and the last woman in stealth (in order to get her pipe for the next area). To summarize: in this area, I use maximum 2 crossbow arrows, 1 pipe bomb and 1 brick. There are no consistent strat really in this area.
I feel so bad for killing these people after they said "WERE NOT GOING BACK!" showing they were fighting with the WLF and prob would have let Ellie go if they knew that she was not part of the WLF
Even worse: They could've easily helped her with valuable information on the WLF and maybe even Abby's location if there had been just a tiny bit of communication from both them and Ellie.
Thank you for this video. You helped me get through the bottom level of the hospital without dying, and I really needed that for the speedrun I was doing.
@@Name.......... You get a free molotov before the Museum, it's not that hard to save it. And even if you somehow use it, you get more than enough resources to craft another one, even in grounded mode.
