As a member of the choir of our church choir. We (the church choir) sing this every Sunday in the Disciples of Christ Church in Northern Kentucky at the end of the service. We sing only the chorus to a different Beautiful Melody! I am the youngest son and child of my dad who is an ordained Disciples of Christ Church Minister and my mother who is a Public High School Teacher! I was born in the late fall of 1978 in central Kentucky and grew up in Northern Kentucky. This is a beautiful recording and a beautiful melody!
My music teacher played this song when I was in second grade, now she’s retired, and I’m 3 months away from going to high school. This song brings me back a lot.
We're singing this for a "competition" at kings island this year, and I'm so excited! I fell in love with this song the first time I heard it, it's absolutely beautiful. it was an idea for a song to sing last year but in the end was turned down, so we're singing it this year. I get to sing soprano 1 which is a crazy difference for me considering last year I was an alto😅
We are going to sing this for our Spring concert for our contribution to our city's Bicentennial. We are using it to recall all those who have gone before us to dream and create our city into the community it is today. I lost my dear mother and father last year and I will be singing it for them. The words about wanting to share with them the happy moments... Really hits hard. Can't tell how many times I think about calling them with the big and small parts of my life like I used to do... I miss them so much... 🥲
