I mean is this a common thing to install on top of tile. I know there are furring strips but if the nail hits the tile there won’t be any bite and the floors will move.
The wall brackets should hold all the weight, the joints should be mostly cosmetic. Glue is enough, but if you want it sturdier, you can add some dowels. No need to over engineer it. Just make sure those brackets are screwed into wall studs.
