Thank you, Joe, and the panelists, for this. One of the questions about the Australian government's discriminatory response to similar tragedies overseas and the implications of this for multicultural communities in Australia is valid. Obviously, Australia has its own domestic issues and international priorities. However, as part of the international community, it is expected that its responses to wars and conflicts overseas will be principled. Whether this is in response to atrocities or humanitarian crises, the response should be principled. For example, Australia's response to the invasion of Ukraine was swift, comprehensive, and unprecedented. However, Australian companies that withdrew from Russia after the invasion started doing business in countries that were actively committing genocide-far worse than what Russia has been doing in Ukraine. Australia's response to the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine is in stark contrast to its lack of response to the war crimes Sudan or Tigray. This discriminatory response should be called out, nor just accepted as "as normal".
Look at Australian coastal residential areas and it's a sea of almost charcoal black and dark brown roofs. Even local councils have forbidden home owners from painting their roof white citing aesthetics. But it's no good just painting the roof white for so many homes are now rendered and painted in dark colours so those wall that face the sun's rays heat up and then radiate that heat into the home. Overseas in hot countries they have white walls and white roofs and you can easily see how cool it is by touching the surface of a white car compared to a black car. In 40+ degree heat a white car is warm whereas a black car is scorching hot and it's the same for you home. It's always been this way long before climate change was even a buzz word.
I’m 13 and can’t wait to move to Australia! I’m American by the way but I’ve never really been “American!” I’ve had my eye on University of Melbourne for a while and can’t wait to go!❤❤❤

History will remember you as a rare individual of the twentieth century who stood for the pure democracy of India.Being in the majority Who even stand for minorities rights.
The problem, is the Australian people. By and large there’s a culture of acceptance of anything the government says/passes/does. In Australia you can have all the freedom you like, so long as you do as you’re told.
51:27 I was reading some people's face in starting and thought they are looking sleepy and this guy literary taking nap 🤣. I guess her voice is straight, no dynamics and very less pause . She is a hypnotist
Was taught by and worked with Don. His award is much belated and very, very much deserved. An erudite man and a gentle and downright decent human being.
Imagine if people talked like that about other neurodivergent students like autistic students. “It’s important that they know that their knowledge, their way of seeing the world is respected and is valued” 1:49

It's mind boggling to see what the human body is capable of. Even more amazing to see how engineering solutions can help push human bodies even beyond the most extreme limits. I believe these technologies may one day help push the space frontier.
