I love your wonderful tutorial. It's so clear and easy to understand. I'm a beginner, more or less, and so many tutorials are daunting, but yours is not. Thank you so much.
Hi thank you for this I have just made my daughter a bag from material cut off her wedding dress your instructions were clear and easy to follow and it will get used this Friday 20th Sept thank again -Scotland
I was glad to find this video because I don't currently have a protractor or compass, and I needed to make a pentagon for a sewing project I'm working on. I followed along and paused the video at each point. In that way I was able to get the same results as shown in the video. Thank you for your well-presented information.
Hello, I stumbled upon your video. Ive tried multiple times to download the pattern with no success (4 downloads at last count). Can you please send me the measurements for the pattern for the pattern weights? Thank you so much!
@@leesuvia7861 I am sorry you had trouble. Did you get to see the pattern? It is a large equilateral triangle split into 4 triangles. The large triangle is 14cm / 5.5 “. I hope this helps. 😀
I just watched your video for the drawstring bag and I loved it. I can’t wait to make some larger ones. I think I will add some iron on interfacing also. Thank you sharing your talent .
This is such an easy tutorial! Just what I was looking for but I did some things differently which I think made it easier for me Instead of cutting one petal I just made a slit between both and glued one peral on top of another and instead of cutting two petal I cut one and put one on the other and so on. And also I made smaller "holes" on the middle of the smaller petals so its easier to glue on.
When I say 'pull it tight' I mean simply firm, do not pull it too tight. You don't want any large loops left at the end but you also don't want it too tight (as you discovered). You are aiming for it to sit nicely with no large loops but not narrowing. Simply try again and see how you go this time. 🙂
Yes, but make sure you can attach your rose. Perhaps build the rose on the end of the pencil so that you can secure it easily? I am sure it would work but you need to decide on your attachment method before you start your rose. Good luck 🙂
Nice, straightforward instructions and good tips with the stitch/zigzag, to remember the wrist width and adding a raw edge hem by the wrist. Thank you.
@@firststrokesswimacademy4156 In the description is a link to my website with written instructions. In the ‘you will need’ section there is a link to the pattern. Hopefully you will find it okay. 😀
I have not tried but you could experiment by making them without curling the petals back, at least until the outer layer. You could also try making more layers that have fewer petals eg, make an extra layer of 3 or 5. If you try please let us know how you get on so more people can try. 😀
