Great to see your family taking time to see OZ and building up an ever growing list of memories that you will all have for the rest of your lives. This episode brings back lots of memories for me as i was born in Darwin and lived just south near Humpty Doo growing up. Good footage of the crocs and thats about as close as you want to get to them as well, behind a fence. Have subscribed and looking forward to any updates to your travels. Cheers, another Brett.
Thanks mate. Yeah we're mainly doing it so the kids can look back and remember what we did. You forget all the places you go unless you document it some how.
Great episode guys. You should be very proud of your kids who are revelling in the environments that you are throwing them into. Something to do with great parenting I think.
Well Amber is the trooper this time. Launching herself from the highest point. Hope the ankle didn’t hold her back to much, nothing worse then doing yourself an injury on a trip like that. Them girls of yours are next level 👍🏼 Gorgeous country side. 👌
How good were the girls doing Tunnel Creek, and then down to Bells Gorge … bloody little troopers!! Fucking troopy ! 😡 I had mine smashed near Halls Creek in 2018 and it’s still like it. 🤦🏽🙏🏼 Still need to go back and do Gibb River Rd. Well done … awesome episode. 👍🏼
Another great video of your travels, your children were amazing doing Tunnel Creek. It’s a bummer that your windscreen got smashed, you would think oncoming drivers would slow down to help stop this from happening. Will you give a summary up of the difficulty of the gorges at the end of the Gibb.
Cheers mate. Yeah they swam through that dark water like troopers haha. Adcock and galvans are great and easy short walks, Manning gorge was fantastic but a 3km hike each way. Part two coming next week.
Sorry to hear about the smashed glass and the sprained ankle guys. Was the rock flicked by the passing car? Was there anything that could have been done in this situation to avoid it or just luck of the draw?
Hey mate, I'm fairly sure it was flicked up from the passing car. Luck of the draw I think... Maybe if we were both going slower it wouldn't have happened but there's no way to predict that.

Phew. Lucky it wasnt major. I used to be a rusted on Toyota landcruiser guy. Ive had 40,60,70 ,80,100,200,300 fjcruiser. 5 v8s. Hated the 300, sold the 79 and bought a hilux. Why? To see if i can live with the 2.8 and auto and to wait and see what issues come about before buying one. Back in 2022 i was doing valuations for a major mining company in newman and they said they wanted the 2.8 instead of the v8 and hey presto here we are. I liked the 200 but the gearbox modulation towing was an issue for me. Best wagon imo-80 series with the quad valve turbo. Still have my fj45 which I love. Have fun! 👍
Cheers mate. I have a lock up added so it locks up when I want and tows great. Makes the hills much easier rather than being unlocked or hunting around gears.
Just found you guys, Great vid.! We are on our way in with our van and 200 soon, similar weights. What was your original pressures, and what did you take them down to once bogged?
G'day mate. I run fronts at 45, rears at about 50. Van 65-70. On these beaches I ended up with 10-15 in the car and 20 in the van. The vans nearly 4 tonne so it's a big anchor. My best advice is don't go through the middle of the crossing, go just a bit further to the creek side and it's really hard ground so very easy to drive on. Manoeuvring on some of the beaches you'll have to drop them down a lot as some of them are super soft. Have a good trip.
Definitely not, it pulls the 4t van with ease. I had it in high range and should have been in low. I should have also taken more out of the tyres. I didn't realise it was so soft.
Hey mate, the canyons are actually epic. Definitely go there. Also go snorkelling at oyster stacks... That's where most of this was shot. It's incredible.
Iv'e never seen a shark before and that was a huge fish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🦈🐟but bigger! And a few week's ago we saw a dead sting ray someone threw a speer at it!😭😭
Hello Brett & Amber We have just come across one of your earlier videos - Maintenance - dust prevention- just wondering if you are able to advise where you had purchased the door seal rubber/ plastic for around the door frame on the caravan ? Brilliant idea preventing those annoying bugs and dust . We will review your RU-vid travels over the next few weeks to catch up where you may be - the videos are well presented in advising where you are going - we find that more enjoyable as we track you on the google maps. Safe travels to you all - look forward to your future video ventures around Australia. Highest regards Raymond & Diane
