I lived in Alaska for 25 years and miss hearing and seeing wolves. On one occasion I was walking upstream on a river bank and watched one walk towards me headed down stream. He got to within 20-30 yards before he finally stopped and paced side to side as though he was waiting for me to get out of the way. I stood my ground and he eventually turned around and headed back upstream. One of several Alaskan experiences I will never forget. I hope to see them here in Oregon.
I'm so sorry for all the people actually doing research and still spreading misinformation. A lot of people just don't know how to do research they'll just research "eagle bond love" or something like that and they'll always get the information they wanted to see but not the reality because of key words they chose
Great video Manders! We still use your tech sheet for rigging halibut rigs up here at the lodge. You have caught more big butts at our Alaskan lodge than most of our guests.
We have come across Many Wolves, Cougars and Bears. While out in the woods, riding dirt bikes. Respect their space, and they dont care about people. ... Nothing to see here...Just move along. 😃

I have encountered wolves several times while walking in the pasture here in north central Texas. Each time, the wolf will look at me for a time (usually 15-20 seconds), then, just be on about its business. They don't really seem concerned.
Not near Ellensburg. Quite prolific in one local pond. Same pond full of muskrats and immediate area surrounding pond heavily populated by Martens and quail.
🐺 fascinating and highly social creatures playing a crucial role in maintaining the balance of ecosystems by controlling the populations of their prey, which helps to keep the environment healthy
99% of the time wolves want nothing to do with humans. Unless they are alone and starving or unless a dog is present. I would be more scared of a coyote, any of the big cats or a momma bear.
