I have a problem. I am trying to send a graph in a PDF and it does not work, that is, it is sent but the part where the graphs go arrives completely black, but the rest is displayed correctly...
You two are the best! Immediately running into a concern, hoped you might have some advice? My child content types inherent a choice column from the parent content type. Each child content type should have a different default value for the choice column but should be able to select a different choice value when needed. 1. If I inherent the column from parent, it seems like the option for default value is not allowed in the children. 2. The workaround might be to not inherit the column, but then if I were to switch content types for an existing doc in my document library it erases the metadata as if it's a totally different column, but still shows in the list view. 3. In the list view I see all the files metadata under one column, but in the library settings you see several with the same name (one column of for each content type)... Is there some merging of columns thing that needs to happen?
Thanks for these useful tips! Inspiring as always 🙂 One off-topic question. On the Issue tracker list (50:20) I see all views above the list instead of hidden in a menu. How can I get this?
I love how you present and explain, with examples. I actually learned a lot by watching few hours of your presentations. I hope you keep going with these sessions about SharePoint and connected apps. I spent days searching and trying to figure out permissions (which is on your other video) and none of them had info you shared, that really helped me understand the logic behind permissions, groups and users, etc. Thank you!
I shall be using Pre filled form for getting feedback using a single form - from my student workshops ( get attendee list, for each email send pre filled form { workshop title : date :time)
How do you make the form in which you can submit each question's response at one time? For example, if everyone answered only question 1, press submit and see those results, then later in a presentation is question 2, the audience now does that question and press submit, see those results. I don't want the people to have to do all 4 questions at one time.
laura, do you have a video on how to put downloadable documents onto a powerpage? i would like to provide a template document and some toolbox talks but cannot figure it out!
There are other ideas in this thread of comments, if you want to try something else. I use this technique all the time though, so I’m not sure what’s wrong with your flow.
Greetings Laura... really do love your work.... this is especially helpful because as we all lover Users, we all know that if a button is on the screen it will be pressed. This is also the same for SharePoint sites. Any thoughts of constructing and delivering a power hour on hiding the controls on a SharePoint site? Keep winning!
Is it possible to visualize different MS List Views in power BI? I believe the key is setting different default List Views in different Power BI dashboards.
No, because the Power BI report that it generates is based on the data itself, not the views in SharePoint. Power BI doesn't know views. Once you've created the Power BI report, you can do filtering on each visual in the report interface if you'd like.
How to remove submit Approval butten from command bar For content Approval workflows, if we are approving content Approval document from another power automate workflow which is approving the document in teams. Some user go and approve from top ribbon
Hi Laura, Thank you for this video it has been so helpful however, I hope you can help, I followed your tutorial and I am trying to use the template with dynamic table content from a gallery but the images are not pulling into the app on mobile. they are available in desktop view but will not display on IOS. Any ideas what I can do to rectify this?
@@WonderLaura I think I have found a solution, it seems mobile does not like displaying images when they are being pulled from a gallery source rather than a straight image here but if you pull the thumbnail instead and have the thumbnail set as .large you get the best outcome.
Hi.. thanks for sharing. How to perform validations / disable other tabs if required fields are not filled in the first tab? Its a pain with tabs, if there is no way to do that!
Great sessions. Quick questions on the new form feature. Can you set up the simple form to edit a list item? and is there a way to add workflow notification on submit? Thanks in advance!
The comments pane against an item. I can see I can create a separate comment field, but looking to use the SharePoint/List off the shelf comment functionality
Hey, I know I'm late to the party, and I'm not sure if this channel is still monitored but for some reason when I try to reference the gallery image into the expanded view image (using galAttachments.Selected.imgAttached for the Image property) I keep getting the error: "Expected Image value" - does this method no longer work? I tried following both this video and your blog post but I keep getting the same error. :(
I signedup to iwmentor after watching this video. Do you have a post on how you did this one? I like that option where you can select if its new, current and past on the main screen. trying to tweak the sample on the site so the one filling up the request will not see the existing ones due to confidentiality.
Content starts @ 7:04 . I love this feature, will be really useful going forward (not having to give users access to the list is particularly impressive). Great demo, thanks
@@WonderLaura here is the easiest example I found on Azure App registration in order to talk to SharePoint. This is the non SSO version. SSO is even more complex but following this video is relatively straightforward and will allow you to point your Copilot at your SharePoint content. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2-VYwC6Akiw.html
@@WonderLaura But a department like finance can be added as a filter, where when you add people to the group of finance you can filter on the department and it shows all the people on finance?
This is very informative! Nice :) Our users have asked about the possibility to make the button say "processing" og just hide when the button has been pressed but the approval is still pending. I think this could be done by updating some column and make the visibility dependent on the value in that column. that Any experience on applying that?
