Hi, yes it possible to run that setup at low speed, but as demand for higher speed or torque increases the current draw could excede the 2amp limit and trgger the thermal cutout. I have used 5v logic to power the motor drivers and control 2x 3v motors successfully. Hope this helps.
We had the English Electric 12CSVT & the 8CSVT Locos in the then East African Railways and i could straight identify the Napier Turbocharger image in the Clip. We never had the 4 Cylinder EE Engines in Our Railways Network.
It always worried me walking around engine rooms with the loco on full power. Legs out of bed, crank case explosions and flashovers etc. Loved the sound though.
That was a proper mans job in the day the back gates are huge. Worked on waltzers most of my life the old flat front Jackson was on 2 eight wheelers and the centre in the day proper graft doing the platforms and fibre glass roof 😊
I've just found out that the 4SRKT engine designation stood for 4-cylinder Supercharged Redesigned K-Type for Traction use. Cylinders were 10 inches (254 mm) bore by 12 inches (305 mm) stroke! No wonder they sounded so damned good.
hello how much do you sell the kit for the AUSA from bruder please because I would like to make mine do you also have the electrical plans etc... thank you in advance waiting for your response have a nice day
Hi christian, this is a one off custom build. Episode 8 from this playlist ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VudPtgx8_tE.html&ab_channel=mickthebass covers the electrics and the Arduino sketch. Hope this helps.
Bonjour j adore ce que vous faite c est juste formidable votre savoir faire , pouvez vous le dire si vous faite le kit a la vente s il vous plais merci par avance et continuez a nous faire rêver 😊
monkey spanner, reminds me of my skinhead days 1970 whitley bay, used to go on the speedway and the house of fun barrel stick to it with 2 good runners a wonder what happened to the barrel
hello. great job!!! i have a dumper ausa to convert and i am stuck not having a solution for turning and lifting the bucket. Would it be possible to have the print files?
I must have done a million miles on Thumpers, Tadpoles, Hastings. Why nobody mention the 73s? It's in the originals, still plenty knocking about with GBRf. Can't complain about the 73/9 though, progress blah blah.
This funfair Speedway was a major a traction in the 70's & 80's along with the Walzers at my local park, Wythenshawe Park M22 & M23 area. But sadly it became banned because it attracted the wrong sort of people spoiling it for the majority who really enjoyed having it at the park as I did. It's was themed very different back in the day as it was Blacked out with disco lights and Strobe lights 🚥. Even the bikes were coloured black. I absolutely loved it. Today it should be re-manufactured but it's fantastic to see some funfair Speedways are still going at my time of life at the proud age of 54. I'd love to ride it again as I've many memories of it. It should come back to Wythenshawe Park. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us, restoring such an iconic enjoyable ride👏👏👏👏. Wythenshawe Park use to have alongside the Speedway the Ski Jump ride another fabulous a traction. Bring them back together at Wythenshawe Park M22 & M23 area because I'd still ride them today 👍👍👍👍. And as old as they are they would still blend in very well with all new modern funfair rides of today like at the Hull Funfair time every October. Thanks again and Merry Christmas to you all ☃️ 🎅 and all the very best for 2023 from me Steve here in Manchester 🇬🇧.
Hi Pat, the drive haxagons are part of the axle kit and the wheels came off a broken 2wd rc pickup truck. I 3d printed the wheel drive adaptors to custom fit. Hope this helps you..
@@pat6557 Ah yes I see..The only thing I can suggest is to look at sites like this.... www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2334524.m570.l1313&_nkw=RC+model+parts+wheels+and+tires&_sacat=0&LH_TitleDesc=0&_odkw=RC+model+wheels&_osacat=0
What's more interesting it's brilliant to see this actual ride still exists today amazing. I'd love to ride it again but it doesn't come local enough to me 🙄🙄. Steve from Manchester 🇬🇧.
Beauties. That sound. I grew up beside the Reading-Tonbridge line at Dorking, that had the Tadpoles, and the engine sound just flies me straight back to the 70s.I remember being in the guards van once as a boy and being quite scared to go anywhere near the engine!
I live in Kenya and soneone told me to look for a market for 2 of these English electric Napier which were used to run factories. I didnt know they run trains too!!
hello, i'm trying to change my huina 593 to speed controlers and need to install limit switches, what resistors are you using on the micro switches? thanks
Hi Dario, they are not resistors, they are diodes. When the ram reaches the end of travel, the switch is triggered cutting the power to the motor. the diode (only allows current to flow in one direction) is bridged across the switch. The motor can only be driven in one direction (reverse). At 2mins 57secs on this video there is an animated diagram of how the diodes and switches work. Hope this helps.

@@mickthebass6086 ok, thanks for the answer. The diode has a specific reference? Thanks
