I was yelling at you the entire time watching this video. I watched the whole thing from start to finish. As a cyclist, this video drove me crazy. You kept opening up gaps over and over again, and then you have to put out big efforts to close them. lol I was losing my mind. Anyway, good ride and thanks for sharing.
@@MrElohim12 You had to be there. The locals of the ride were braking down every descent and then slow rolling up every climb. It was very hard to get into a groove. There were a few sketchy wheels so I just stayed at the back. I don’t normally ride like that. I race bikes. Thanks for the comment. 🙏🏽
@@EdwinFGroby you damn right it was. This one dude slowed down on a decent and started stretching as he was in front of peloton. I yelled at him to get the hell outta here with that shit.
YES, I had the same assessment when the race was finished. I didn't think the rider in front of my WAS going to miss the jump, but he did. When the purple rider went, I was too far left to cut right at that speed. I wish I could have. It was a split second decision. I chose left instead of right. NEXT TIME!
I have seen them sometimes after cyclists. The police are there more often for dangerous E-Bikes or people going in the opposite direction, which is against the law.
Technically no, but the far left lane is for walkers/joggers. The fastest lane normally is the right side before the solid white line. The solid white line on the right side of the road is for walkers.
Nice, thanks for the upload. Great racing, you found my footage of the final lap turn 1 crash, you barely slipped by! I was #423 in the neon green socks and it did not end well for me. I was able to get back on and finish, but half the field DNF? Brutal.
Nice race! I was #542 and started right in front of you - got caught behind that first corner wreck and never made it back on. My rookie mistake not taking the free lap!!
Thank you. Yes yes, having to dismount/unclip because of a crash is definitely enough to get into the pit. NEXT TIME MAN! Sorry that was the end of the race for you. I really like this course. I had never competed in this race before.
@@EdwinFGroby Indeed - I was so flustered didn’t even cross my mine - now I know! The only benefit of being off the back was that I could take nice smooth lines through the corners. Great course!!
@@EdwinFGroby I found your video after doing some research on this century ride. I booked a ticket to fly there from the Bay Area to attend the '24 event. I'm looking forward to getting out there, cheers!!
Thank you man! Very tough with the headwinds. I was happy to have stayed on till the end. The goal was to ride the front the whole race. That was achieved 💪🏽
