I live in Washington state and this is an actual true story, some chef went insane on one of the islands and killed a whole bunch of people at a dinner party.
I watched this movie last night and was a bit disappointed. I thought it would be more horror and more chilling. It is not. Yes, some good scenes, creepy & all, but mainly this movie is big on drama, especially near the end. The drama becomes heavy even. When the woman told the story of what really happened in the past, it went downhill then, for me. The acting is not bad, and the story is good really. It's just the execution that failed, in my opinion. There is not much happening in the end. Almost boring. So it gets a thumbs down unfortunately from me.
When he hit the electrical grid it would have channeled through him into that body of water and into those two as well. Maybe diluted effect but no way it didn't effect them.
I remember everyone in my theater being shocked when the fetus xenomorph first appeared like they weren’t screaming but they were like ooooh like when you see something painful
I've seen people praise this trailer with excitement and anticipation and I've seen others who were not so enthusiastic. Keep in mind that the original adaptation with David Soul also had it's issues. There were several jump scares ( Ned Tebbets popping out from behind the door and attacking Ben, Barlow popping up in the jail cell, etc ) and that was back when jump scares weren't a thing. It also condensed a lot of the material and had one actor as a combination of two different characters. While it excelled in atmosphere, it fell short in other areas. That being said, let's give this adaptation a chance. It looks amazing. Pullman looks exactly like how Mears is described in the novel for one thing, and I actually like Mackenzie Leigh as Susan Norton. Again, looks more like the way that King describes her. No offense to Bonnie Bedelia. This new adaptation was filmed in Massachusetts in a real New England town about a two hour drive from Maine. The original was shot in Northern California and while it did look somewhat like Maine, you could just tell that it wasn't. Let's wait and see before making any judgements. Oh and by the way it looks 1000 times better than the ridiculous Rob Lowe version.
