Don't you just wish you could tag the wires to recharge?? Too hot and spicy unfortunately. Imagine an off-road bucket that could drive through the bush like a tram and has battery backup. With electric chipper, winch...I want to do that all day. Canadian wireway trilogy. What a vehicle that could drink from the firehose! I wonder if there's a really basic way to run hydro lines through forests without being a dumbass hazardous hack. Anyways, Altec is onto commendable stuff. I wanna be a bucket baby tree worker wherever possible and those booms/trucks are a dream. Great view. Big picture. MAY YOU GET RICH! 🐉
I would love to go to that someday I’ve been in utilities since 2012 and some of the things I see are so amazing. Some of the technology is totally cool.

Jems trucks are absolute garbage Jems doesn’t work as advertised truck must remain running more than any other bucket truck I’ve ever driven I have a brand new truck and I have over half the engine hours are idle hours because these trucks don’t perform worth a damn the Jems system has shut the truck off twice while going down the road and altec says no problem

so basically u need to have a snatch block greater in WLL in excess of 30k LBS? does altec recommend a safety factor in WLL When Rigging a two parted Line? We just received a 2023 3 stage Digger derrick and there wasn't much clarification on Working Load Limits.. This video was somewhat helpful. Can You explain further plz reach out
WLL is a calculated fraction of breaking strength, so consider that WLL provides the necessary safety factor by default. Your snatch block must have a capacity greater than the weight of the load hanging from the hook, since the snatch block carries the full weight of the load. Likewise, the winch line rated working load, or single line pull, already has the safety factor figured in. ANSI 10.31 requires digger derrick winch line to have a safety factor of 5 to 1. Just ensure the winch line pull is not exceeded and your safety factor is intact. When 2-parted, each part of the winch line above the snatch block will carry 1/2 (half) the total load weight. Check the capacity of each component of the lifting system, including the rigging, so you don't overload any individual component. When lifting at maximum capacity, remember that all capacity values are for static loads. This includes the capacities listed on the load chart. Rough or abrupt movement can dramatically increase the forces on the lifting system and can exceed capacity. This could result in loss of unit stability or structural damage, which puts everyone in danger.
