I had a wire break when I was wearing a 40 inch tourmaline necklace I made. I bought Artistic Wire gauge 26, 0.17 inch, which obviously was not strong enough. Fortunately I rescued all the small stones. What should I buy to restring it?
I would like know the size difference of the silk thread on a spool as opposed to using then thread that is on a card. Example, the size difference from FFF on a spool would be what size on a card. Thank you, enjoyed your tutorial
This is by far the best instruction I've seen. You have a lovely voice and your instructions and demo are clear. I now feel ready to take the plunge. Thank you.
I’m impressed. I love that you’re explaining the size of rings used & how to pick them. Most people won’t share that information. Thank you! I’m looking forward to hearing more from you on chain maille! P.S. Love your cat. Me me does the same thing. Has to be in a n whatever I’m doing & make sure I’m noticing him. LOL
You describe things very explicitly, and in such a way that will help me avoid beginner mistakes. I have never worked with wire before, but this video makes me feel that it would be achievable. I can't wait to get started❤

I have a 1 meter strand of pearls that doesn't have knots between the pearls. I want to restring the pearls, bur where do you get that large spool of silk? It can't be regular silk sewing thread.
Excellent video talking about the Harbor Freight caliper which only costs $10 and is very accurate. BUT to get the ID if the jump ring you really need to disassemble one link, close up the jump ring, and then measure the ID. I think then you would find the aspect ratios between the two chains much closer.
I am starting this project and I'm loving it so far! I've never done anything like this but I picked up a beginner jewelry making kit and I am getting better and better with each bead I'm wiring.
