On this channel you'll follow my octane-filled adventures as I attend events/shows/meets/cruises/races in New Zealand, Australia, and the U.S.A. with the aim of expanding on a worldwide scale.
Glad you noticed and that you're not a hater like most others when it comes to American cars outside of US. We love these cars, the culture and we proudly drive them/race them/build them to the best possible here in NZ
I am in the United States, and I have never seen a 61 Impala. Now that is rare as I get out and about. By the way, the dashboard is exactly the same as the one in my 62 SS Impala. Did you know that the Impala is the only car ever made which completely changed the body from 1958 to 1965? No other major production car ever did that. The expense must have been enormous!
Now that's a very interesting piece of information Stephen. I was wondering how much variety was in the NZ classic car scene, you just gave me an amazing insight!
The 1968 LeSabre ruled ass. That was our car in the driveway thru the 70's. I think it was 47 feet long or something. We rented the trunk out as an apartment to a family of 4.
Seeing the hot rods on the street made me wonder if NZ is as strict as AUS re: modifications to street driven vehicles? BTW, I live 100 miles from Famoso drag strip near Bakersfield, CA and have been privileged to attend many nostalgia events there over the years. I actually bracket raced my 1970 Mach 1 street car there a couple times back in the mid 1970’s. Move your videos mate!
Funny, I was in Bakersfield back in 2018 for work. Here in New Zealand we have a re-homologation body that allows for any type of modification as long as it fits the standards prescribed. It's called LLVVTA and it regulates modified vehicles for road use Btw what do you mean by moving my videos?
Thanks guys, appreciate your comment but most of all the work you put into making us relive the good old years of historic aviation. Till next time indeed!
This year it didn't put on a show like the previous editions. It used to be known as the wheelie king. Still much respect for how it's being driven now
