Thank you for the video; it's amazing! I have one question. I am in my last year studying cyber security bachelors. I have CC certified by ISC2. I gained multiple training courses. I aim to take my next step, whether to take ComptSecurity+ or SSCP. In my opinion, I see Compt+ owned by everyone, and I started to feel it's not that hard while I tried the ISC2 exam, and I am sure it's not an easy one, and the SSCP goes more with depth in cybersecurity, but for popularity, the CompTIA Sec+ is more popular, and after 3 years or 4 I aim to gain CISSP. So what do you think is better for me to take SSCP or CompTIA Sec+?
Great video! I was thinking about doing Axure fundamentals, admin, then security. Do you recommend that? I heard you mentioned AWS instead. Is that better? I think I’d like to stick with cloud as a career in general. Thanks!
I am 38 years old and a bit of a Python enthusiast. I think it's not too late for me to change my career and become a cybersecurity engineer. @NicolasMoy what do you think? I could be a professional by the time I'm 50 years old.
Thank you so much for the information. I've been in a whirlpool 'career wise'. I had my security+, A+. Server+ but wasn't being hired. Now I'm 56 and back at square one in the IT world and have mainly been following a Cyber Security path. You gave wonderful insight in approaching an entry into Cyber Security that I'll use. Again, thank you for the information Nick.
Hi Nicolas, I have my bachelor's degree in finance and accounting and i don't really wanna do it anymore, do you think its possible for me or anyone wants to change their career path to cyber security engineer from the beginning without acquiring bachelor's degree in computer science or programming or software? If yes, where to begin with?
As someone who got the Security+ in June, is gaining hands-on AWS experience and has a SAA exam scheduled in 2 weeks - this video made me *extremely* happy and optimistic. Thanks brother
It’s really really difficult to be invited for an interview without those fancy certs on your CV. But the skills and the mindset is what makes you excel in the interview and the job after.
Hello Nick I am getting so confused where to start my career in Cyber Security. I have done CCNA R&S, Network+, Security+, Globally certificated in Azure 500 still I am not able to land job in cyber security. I want to be in Red Team
If you want to work in ethical hacking, you need to shift your focus away from getting those certs and consider pentesting certs. It's not needed but it will help you with what you want to accomplish.

I have to say your video got me thinking. I am working with Azure, since it's requested a lot in my part of the world. I like the fact that you went to the engineer, then moved into security. Lots to think about. Thank you for your insights.
Amazingly put together presentation. Extremely realistic. You’ve stated important points such as In demand skills. The business or corporation is looking to solve its problem and generate revenue. As long as you can get there and assist with that from a security perspective, you’ll get a way in!
1. Would you recommend a boot camp? Been eyeing one from ASU & they’ve been calling me about it. 2. Do you have a video editor? I would change some sound effects and even stock footage with fx
I don't recommend university programs at all. Such a waste of time and money for such little value. Plus, most universities just resell the same program. I would recommend either going for this on your own, or considering my program which has a lot of mentorship alongside the training you'll be going through.
I just watched your Wgu video From three years ago and wondering for someone fresh out of high school would you recommend them to still go that route !?🤔
Hi Nicolas, I enjoyed this video. I was wondering what is the best path to become a security engineer? I'm about to wrap up the Google Cybersecurity Professional Certificate course. I was also thinking about going for the security+. However, I realized I think I will like this path best. I graduated with a degree back in 2017 in Accounting, but started in computer science. I'm familiar with foundational aspects of computer programming, and know a bit of Python. But I'm not sure where to go next or this is a career without a college degree in that field where I need to become a security analyst first? Any help would be much appreciated.
My daughter is a Sr. (16, turning 17 this year) And has decided not to go to college. Shes starting with Google Cyber Security just to get some familiarity with it. Do you have any advice for a younger newbie for which direction to go next? Also, im a HR Project Manager and also pivoting to tech and interested in Cyber Security. I have zero idea of the position i want just yet😣.
