Take as much off your plate at this season of your life. Less copies less to grade less activities that require a lot of you. We all have to hit that wall and back down a bit for our sanity. You will love yourself for it!!!

Honestly you are such a gem 💎 and hats off to you to only have 3 months maternity leave. In the UK most ladies take at least 6 months but it’s totally different system. You got this and thank you for continuing to inspire.

Thank you for making this. As a new mom (my baby is almost 2) it’s been so hard to find the balance. I don’t think enough teachers talk about finding that balance and not bringing work home. I used to bring it home and now I just can’t. ❤

🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎😭t.y. for your uplifting words. I too am on the struggle bus and rethinking my career choice. I enjoy teaching and making those connections with my students. I just feel overworked and unappreciated for my work. Parents seem so far from their kidfos😭unaware of how to parent and treating me like the fix all person😏You are in my thoughts and prayers 🙏🏻If it doesn't kill us it only makes us stronger and we can do anything for 8 hrs.....

🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎 It does get easier! I raised two boys while working as a teacher full time. It sounds like you already know what to do: eliminate anything that isn’t essential and NEVER take anything home because it won’t get done anyway. One thing that helped me was once a week I would stay a little later to make copies, prep, grade, or anything else. That was also the only day I would make myself available to parents for any meetings or conferences. It really helped feel more prepared and at ease. You are amazing and you will get through this. Remember, our kids are only little for a short time. Enjoy it as much as you can even on the hardest days.

My baby days are over but I can totally relate! It’s not easy but this will pass. I tried to make my students responsible for as much as possible with jobs, clear expectations and we cultivated a positive community to have everyone help one another. You have certainly paired down and am making it work. Give yourself grace We are human and we do the best we can to keep a good home/work balance. Thank you for sharing and I am so happy the boys are doing well. Sending hugs as you move through this season. Can’t wait to see your new home, but on your timeline. ❤❤❤❤

Girl, I wish I lived close to you (I am in Surprise, Az.) I would come volunteer in your room to grade, pull small groups, etc. (I'm a retired teacher) Maybe you can find someone like that to help relieve some of your stress? It sounds like you are really doing well with protecting your space during lunch and plan. Just remember, this is a season, albeit a tough one! I 've always admired you younger teachers who are able to juggle all that you do. I hope that things get easier soon! You have a great attitude and I think that's going to help you through this season!

I've been wondering about you and I can only imagine how hard life is with everything you have going on! Thank you for keeping it real! Two kids are way more work than one child. Teaching is hard enough, as is motherhood! Hang in there and we are here for you ....sending hugs and prayers your way :)

Hi. My daughter is about to turn 15 in a few days. (Today was actually her due date.) I also breastfed and had to pump at school. I remember feeling very isolated bc I had to lock myself in my room alone to pump during prep, lunch, and end of day. All the times when I normally would be interacting with adults. I had also just been moved to a new grade, new team, and had ELA added to my plate. It was rough. You do what you have to do get thru. It was not my best year of teaching, but I prioritized my baby and looking back I don't regret that. 🍎💗

Can a Kate Spade purse, have just a plain lining in it without the spades and still be real. Or can they have a striped lining in them without the little spades on the lining like most of them do

Hello! Thank you for your videos and for sharing your pumping journey. Honestly, it's so hard but totally worth it. I had twins and managed 6 months before I didn't have enough and had to supplement with formula. Drink lots of water and fennel tea really boosted my production. Good luck, you can do hard things ❤

I started following you years ago because of you being so open about breastfeeding and you were the only teacher online who talked about it. It made me feel less alone. Thank you for that! I read a lot of good tips in the comments (special tea, drinking enough water, not trying to lose weight 'til you stop breastfeeding, sitting down, looking at a photo of your baby, taking some me-time like reading or watching a movie). Hope they help ❤

I loved this video! I think I might try the eyewear! I wish it was around when I was teaching. (I retired 3 years ago). I loved the outfit ideas and the earrings. My last few years were teaching online and I made sure to have fun earrings since kids only saw my head! ha! Also, I am so old that we wore Winnie the Pooh and lots of teacher sweaters with pencils, etc. LOL. I love the way teachers can individualize their outfits. It really sets the tone for your day when you get to wear something fun or themed and the kids love it too!
