@AndreHaroldDancs I jest! I have already adopted the " look around ". In all honesty that one tip significantly mitigates the blind spot issue. Thank you!
How did you and your friends get a river to yourself? Here in the Ozarks it would be standing room only. And a concussion from all the beer cans in the air.
I live in British Columbia (Canada) there is just so much fresh water here that it’s everywhere. Although I just googled Ozark and the pictures of Ozark look pretty amazing too.
You can get the plastic covers and bolts directly from Toyota or you can order them a lot cheaper from eBay. Just use the part number that I showed in the video.
Thank you for the information! My tip... insert easily seen views as still images instead of waving your finger in the shadows while you try to describe what I can't see.
I’m having this same issue with my archaic lights I just installed I heard something about them needing relays which is odd since they come with a transformer box on the light.
I'm confused.. I've watched it about three dozen times.. I'm just not getting it! ..after several attempts and constant falling down trying to get in my FJ.. I'm always very apprehensive to get out of my FJ when I get to my destination.. I'm thinking of having one of those emergency inflatable slides that flops out when I open the door.
Or a condom to flick at random hot girl when you stop at traffic lights, then you say "just letting you know up front.....I don't use these". Could be anything really
@Frank-gh9qn mine is a daily driver too, although I don’t drive very far, so the fuel mileage doesn’t make much of a difference to me. If you don’t have a large commute then it might be worth considering something bigger if you like. The vehicle can handle it.
Hey man, nice FJ! How did the stereo upgrade go? Did it work? I bought that same exact trim bezel to do exactly what you are doing, BUT I found the opening on the bezel to be made for a certain Chinese stereo (the opening is not a perfect rectangle, and angles down from top to bottom) , and it doesn’t look like a rectangle 9” receiver will fit it.. but, I haven’t tried yet.. wondering what you found.
I actually kind of forgot about it since the weather has been nice out here in Canada, but I’ll get it done this summer and I know what you’re talking about with the Chinese receiver and the slight angle. The stereo that is pretty much a perfect fit in the new bezel hole is a 8” Pioneer DMH-C5500NEX it’s a double din stereo and you can get them on Amazon. Stereo fits good at the bottom of the slide and will have a tiny one that gap towards the top that needs to be filled, I’m just pretty busy right now with spring business and then I’ll get it done and post some videos.
It’s 2024 man, we have radials and a cell phone, many new cars don’t even have spare tires when they get sold anymore. I can still bring a spare tire with me on adventures. I just don’t want to carry one everywhere every day.
It might be ALMOST ridiculous making a video about this but certainly not ridiculous. I have a JDM camper van and getting in and out was an adjustment. I pretty much do what you do, sometimes adding a little bounce on the way up. I bought an out-of-state FJ. Waiting for delivery, so definitely interested in anything FJ. The looking around is a nice touch because, the reality is, it’s never going to be as smooth getting into something lifted as slipping into a sedan. Thanks 🌸
Didnt really show how to change any of the lights themselves. Do you have another video for that? Also, would love to see before and afters as to how these new lights look 👍🏼
Yeah, I definitely didn’t make the greatest video because I had already changed the bulbs before I started my RU-vid account and I just wanted to let people know that the newer white lights looked better than than the originals, it’s pretty much just unplug old lightbulb and plug in the new light bulb. I’m still learning how to make videos but I’m more conscious on putting in more details for the future.
I’m kind of laughing inside because I’ve owned my FJ for 10 years, and have purposely NEVER washed it. I’ve sprayed down the undercarriage pretty well with a hose after driving on the beach to get the salt off it, but that’s it. FJs look better dirty.
Sounds like you’re a true off roader. I used to be more like you, but over the years I’ve become a little soft and started washing my vehicle. Keep it up man, you’re the guy who makes us all look good with the dirty well used FJ
