I love his story so much. Truly inspiring and there's no doubt that he is hands down one of the best QB's to ever play and his victories off the field far outweigh the importance of the many on the field. Beautiful.
I remember an interview by Don Lane from the ABC in Australia Jim asked “how s my mate Matt Guyer (Rugby player in the New South Wales Rugby League) going

Phila Eagles fan from this time. Great times for football
Kelly never played big in the biggest game. But, he beat cancer so that is a OG thing and a blessing. But, that line Josh Allen would have won 1. That line was one of the best ever in Bills history!
Not the best QB the bills had. Ferguson and Kemp. Both could throw any pass and had great accuracy. Ferguson had no line or receivers for years and Kemp lost his team at the end of the 60s. Kelly was good but he was surrounded by talent on offense defense and even special teams. He was a great father. I have a daughter with special needs. We lost her 8 years ago and was by far the worst day in my life. She taught her brother sister and me and her mom how to love without limits and brought us all closer together. I miss you Mariah.
Been a dolphins fan since in 1st grade back in '72 🤷♂️ ..... But , Jim Kelly was a thorn in my side for a decade !!! 😖.....now , looking back , I have great respect for his talent , his ability to execute that talent to win games , and the way he played the game. I watched Kelly's Hall of Fame speech and that left me with great admiration of Jim Kelly the man. He is a close second on my personal list of greatest ever QB's 👍
Change lives.Oh, f******Give me a break he's easily one of the biggest p***** to ever play the position. Have a stock sign here's the right lane to take a slide
Years ago I played basketball in the local church league for about 7 years . We took our Division 5 years straight and were in 5 straight Championship games in which we lost all 5 ! You have no idea , even at that level , how building up to the top , then watch it fall down , again and again can question you ability ! He got the Bills there four times straight ! No one else , other than maybe Otto Graham with the Browns in the 50's , could achieve this . I wound up playing Ice Hockey ( defenseman ) and won a Championship my first year and then Captained the worse team in the league ( lost every game ) the next ? It tests your metal ! But it's what others say about you that pulls you through to try again and again and again ? It was said of Hannibal " He could win battles , but not Wars " ( he spent 15 years running up and down Italy trying to defeat Rome ) and Yet he is considered one of the best Generals who never won the big one ? Jim's right up there !
NOTHING but respect & admiration for Mr. Kelly. From a Cowboys and FSU fan. Man what a team those 90s Bills were. Jim was one hell of a QB, from what I know he was an even better man, and father. Man has been thru more than his share of struggles, and gone thru them with grace. Aikman will always be my guy, but JK12 is right there man. Cheers.
The finest QB in NFL history a lot of Class as a player and as a person one of the greatest QB : Great Passer, True team Leader , An American Hero , I remember my son watching the NFL Draft yelling at me Pa come over is Jim Kelly look at the standing ovation He’s receiving whatta moment I was so glad to see all the love and admiration from all the 🏈fans for Him and His family, well deserved 🙏Respect 🦬
As a Rochestarian, (resident of Rochester, NY), I can say that western NY sucks you in. I was born here, I'll die here. I'm not surprised at all that once Jim experienced...whatever this part of the country offers, he stayed. And as a lifelong Bills fan, I'm glad he did. This man meant and continues to mean so much to Buffalo, Rochester, and the surrounding areas. We're proud to claim him as our adopted son
Always loved watching Jim Kelly and the Buffalo Bills in Orchard Park. From an ELWAY Denver Bronco Fan. I met Bruce Smith too- I told Bruce I went for you in Every Superbowl. The Bills Deserve a Superbowl Championship
Although there's many people who think Dan Marino is the greatest QB to never win the Superbowl, when it comes to facts, Jim Kelly got his Buffalo Bills to the Superbowl 4 times while Dan Marino was only able to get his Miami Dolphins to the Superbowl only once. Based on that significant disparity, that more than makes up for whatever shortcomings Jim Kelly may have had compared to Dan Marino. Also both Quarterbacks were drafted in 1983 and were in the same division ensuring both teams met at least twice a season. While Dan Marino may have been more exciting and electrifying than Jim Kelly, Jim Kelly was better than Dan Marino when it comes to making the deepest playoff runs which is the most important thing since the playoffs is what defines you.
Dude when I was a kid my mind was mindfucked by this part that I was like wait the bills lost the Super Bowl!!!! I hate the 80s and 90s giants and Phil simms and LT But I only like the Eli era
