Fantastic dancing Campbell Scott. So Romantic and Beautiful. Campbell Scott is fantastic in Singles and Dying Young too. An Amazing soundtrack and beautifully made! So handsome. Love this movie!
Rest In Heavenly Peace🙏🤍🕊🙏♥️ John Travolta met Kelly Preston while making this movie! I watched this film ALL THE TIME on HBO when I was little! Wonderful memories!
I adore this movie, but I'm late to the show. I just found this movie on RU-vid a few months ago. The actress is Yancy Butler, who did a lot of terrific dancing in this movie, Let It Be Me (1995). Campbell Scott, doing this routine with Butler, was also wonderful in the movie. He was incredibly brave to take on the part of a recently engaged fellow trying to learn how to dance so he can dance with his fiancee at their upcoming wedding. His screen romance was with Jennifer Beals, of Flashdance fame. A very romantic movie, with lots of dreamy dancing and wonderful songs!
Thanks for posting this, SSTrueLove! I found the movie on RU-vid. It's kind of blurry, but I watch it, anyway! The two songs that just blow me away are "I Can't Let Go Of You" and Ordinary Miracle" by Michael Lloyd, (and sung by Donna Summer), which comes at the end, as the credits are rolling. This movie should have been a big hit, though I never heard of it in 1995, and didn't see it at the time. I did see the Japanese film "Shall We Dance? in 1996. There is one scene that's similar in both: the scene where the man first lays eyes on a couple dancing (through a big picture window in a dance studio) as he's looking up from the street. Otherwise, they are quite different, but each one is delightful in its own way.
I have searched high and low for this song on RU-vid; I thought I'd find a video, but no! I have learned that "I Can't Let Go of You" was written by Michael Lloyd (just for this movie in 1995, perhaps? not sure) and performed by Peter Cox. I don't know him, but I do love, love, this song! Turns out he's an English singer-songwriter who is also known as part of a duo called Go West. This song comes at the end of a delightful 1995 movie called Let It Be Me, which I found recently and can't stop watching! And it's 2022!
I love this movie, and this is perhaps my favorite scene! I also love the opening scene, when Gabe (Campbell Scott) goes to the schoolroom to propose to the lovely Emily (Jennifer Beals) by writing Will You Marry Me on the blackboard. Campbell is devastatingly handsome at this age (34) and he and the gorgeous Jennifer make a beautiful couple. This is the one movie that I do wish his sweet Mama (Colleen Dewhurst) had lived to see!
I was a 20 something when this came out, Kelly's appearance was pretty much standard 80s dress code, god I miss the 80s , all we have now are yoga pants
Yeah I saw it in the Burbank theater when I was a kid, with my mom! The audience went crazy for this movie & we thought both of them were the coolest! I need a 4K Blu ray ASAP 📀🥰
*What's your name? Bonnie... and yours? I forgot!* @3:00 Wow! that's awesome! Where they met...John said that he fell in love with her instantly... Rest in Paradise, beautiful Kelly... (beautiful within and out) LPM
PETER COX!!!! OMG! A song I don’t have, and it’s freaking awesome, and killing me it’s unreleased! Love this mans LEGENDARY VOICE! Yes, I said legendary!!!
