Salam. Beautiful rugs .A very good way to support the country. The request I have is to make a video about making of it.There must be an institute about rug making it's a suggestion. Thanks
You say stupid things lady, those Pakistanis carpets not pure silk .they made silk out of Bamboo .as, the way processing Bamboo it became soft like a silk. Is not pure Silk . .
Madam . Smell because of material . Strong sun could damage the rug . Smell because of bad quality ,chemical dye in most Oriental Rugs . You talk Stupid . Piss off please .
Bokhara is the Capitan City of Uzbekistan, Bokhara design comes from , Pakistan, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Persian ( Iran), India , Chinese and most of them made from synthetic Silk , not pure Silk , They should not fool you by shinning of the rug, it is not pure Silk. Yes Lady it is not Pure Silk, again, please Stop giving wrong information. even some of Bokhara design Made in Persian, in pure Silk is more expensive which very rare to find it .
The price depends on kinds of Wool. Silk, and Double Persian knots , which Oriental rug cheaper quality of Wool, Silk and use chemical dyes, Price doesn't depend on Only Knots Lady , quality of material and design are most important .
Thai is not true lady the smell comes from kinds of Wool and the quality of wool or not been cleans properly , you are not giving the Correct information, don't talk nonsense please.
I have to say you are completely wrong lady , you don't know at all . The differences between Oriental Rugs and Persian rug it is the quality of, Wool, Silk , Cotton and Persian Double Knots in carpet, you say Persian knots from left but Oriental knots from right, that is very funny explanation , Persian Carpet comes from many different parts of Persia. with different culture and many and many different design. generally Oriental rug made of Commercial and chemical Dyes , which Persian carpet mostly Using Vegetable Dyes, and the Wool, Silk, and Cotton, quality of Oriental rugs much Lower and cheaper than Persian rugs , except Turkish Hereke which very rare to find this days and there is fake Chinese Hereke, .you are giving, and, demonstrated the propaganda and wrong information to people,, you should ask and get some knowledge about the differences between Persian and Oriental rugs from real expertise. don't talk nonsense, please .
This is odd advice. I suppose if you have average low to mid cost wool rugs then perhaps you are not so worried about damage. But I would expect a thorough cleaning. Both steam and dry shampoo cleaning do not provide a deep clean nor are they gentle on the wool itself. What if you have a wool rug with wool warp? Under steam heat with alkaline cleaners (the most common for carpet cleaning) it can shrink and/or discolor. The fringe could brown, and further, depending on the surface you clean the rugs on (i.e. hardwood) could damage your flooring. It makes more sense to send your rugs to a professional who has the time and ability to do a thorough cleaning and can correct colors and fringe and control the drying process. My two cents at least.
Update. 2 years later the rug does not smell 👍 I had forgotten about looking up ways to get rid of the chemical smell. I opened up all of the windows to get it air. I won't buy a rug in winter again. Brr
