When coming back be extremely careful to not be misguided by your GPS into the Pre-approved lane, there's no turning back once you get in, and you will be detained until you pay 5K for using the lane without permit.
I cross at international bridge McAllen/Reynosa ,the alarm sound when entering was to alert a vehicle to get inspected , I cross with my family and we bring in tons of of stuff and return with our van full of gifts and food including frozen mole , some border officers are super cool and one once asked me for my phone to verify where we went.
My first time driving in another country was actually my first time driving a car. I'm from Mexico but I learned to drive in Italy. And 3 weeks ago I drove in Portugal and Germany and that was a really nice experience! (fun fact, The "GRA" in Rome seems to me more dangerous than the German autobahn with no speed limit)
I honestly think u gave to much information. i crossed over from Mexicali frequently and had things i purchased and they are more concerned with fruits, alcohol, drugs and things like that. They would have never questioned packaging supplies.
What is the name of the street you ended up in Tijuana. I have to drop my niece off next week and I need to inform a relative that is going to pick her up where to pick her up.
wow, I feel like a lot has changed since I crossed the border on foot here! this was back in 2012 and I remember the revolving doors but not this huge grey facility surrounding it. I remember having a plain view into Mexico and the huge flag in the distance and two armed guards holding machine guns that didn't pay me or anyone else any mind
@@SalTravels i was just checking google earth and sure enough that huge grey complex didn't exist back in 2012 but I clearly remember going through revolving doors and Mexico basically being visible behind it all
Man, you're making me a little bit misty eyed, here. I always dreaded having to make the FMM/bank border run every 6 months, when I lived in Popotla and Ensenada, now I'm missing it like crazy. I can almost hear that funny crosswalk robot voice saying "Camino de la Plaza".
I’m getting to the border at 10:00pm and the plan was to walk down that ramp to get to the shuttle that brings you to Hong Kong. I will be entering alone. At that time of night will there be enough travelers for it to be safe or should I plan on doing something different to enter? (Like uber across and direct to my destination)
4:24 It's been 20 years since I've walked from San Ysidro to downtown TJ, but back then, way before the mobile phones, we would just follow the crowds, crossing the bridge over the traffic and then over the river, then you'd be in downtown. I never walked back into the US, always took the Mexicoach back then. I believe the building of Ped West changed the pedestrian flow patterns, thus this part which was once bustling is now deserted.
Their border security in Mexico is pretty lax most of the time. When we drive to Mexico, we cross through Nogales, AZ. Once you cross into Mexico in Nogales, SON, there's a few few lanes with stop signs. If you get a green light, you're free to continue. If you get a red light, their border agents will ask you to park while they 'inspect' your vehicle.
Just as remembered it . Great video . Lived in peru for 2.5 years . This is great information. PS. Tip . Make sure all your foreign money is in perfect condition. Any tears or marks will be difficult to change unless you go to main bank in capital. Enjoy Perú everyone
It's weird to see. I come from Europe and I have never experienced anything like borders. When you drive across the border in Europe, you only notice it by looking at the road signs.
What’s the best way to get from the San Diego airport to the border and roughly how long does it take? Great videos, btw; they’re always straightforward.
My passport was expired over 5 years and always crossed intel I updated may passport, the U.S. cannot stop an American citizen from crossing back to there own country, the U.S., they have other ways to find out, its best to have a passport for smoother crossings they cannot even prevent an American criminal wanted in the U.S., nor arrest, only detain for the C.H.P., then they can be officially arrested and put in jail by the C.H.P.
Useful video. I will be flying from Panama City - San Andres island via Bogota, so once I've passed immigration / passport check and baggage reclaim, will I then have to re-enter via the Domestic departure side?
