Hypothetically, if you were to fight a dragapult deck with cornerstone mask ogerpon, and they only played ogerpon and refuse to attack, wouldn't it literally be impossible to win unless they somehow deck out first?
someone was doing well in an online tourney with it and i thought the idea was a great idea so i made my own list. the idea is super strong but its so easy to counter with just switches or turo's. i like the lost engine but after playing it too much it gets old for sure
@@sixpokemanstcg How could we build this differently? The only water acceleration I can think of is bax, which is a stage 2 and needs rare candy, also Palkia vstar, but that would be too risky to power up a single prizer. For dark we only have dark patch, but munki is not a dark, then we would need energy switch, same case with Sada and walking wake, but I think that is just not so reliable of a strategy, because we need so many pieces.
someone else in the comments said they were playing it with palkia and in theory you could just play vessels and manually attach to munkidori and just accelerate with palkia and collapsed it away. you dont need much bench space just a couple articuno two munkidori and maybe a bibarel and greninja so collapsed wouldnt hurt it too much. could get real degenerate and play eri's to gert rid of switch's and the new milotic to stop them from using turo. that is a bit of a combo but it could be the ultimate lock. if thats the only strategy like 4 boss might be needed so they cant promote a low hp pokemon that articuno would one shot and any evolving deck could wait to evolve to get out of paralysis so thats a barrier too
Bro ive been doing some palkia articuno list, seems more consistant and also has a second attacker (palkia), i will put the list here and if you could test it... 3 articuno (036/195), 1 bombirdier ex, 2 palkia, 2 palkia v astro, 3 munkidori, 1 bloodmoon ursaluna, 1 radiant greninja, 4 darkness energy, 8 water energy, 4 boss, 4 iono, 4 irida, 1 turo, 4 nest ball, 4 ultra ball, 4 earthen vessel, 4 switch, 2 super rod, 1 pal pad ,1 counter catcher, 1 prime catcher, 1 tm drvolution
ill have to try that out, i was going to play it with palkia and emergency jelly before the new set came out but there was too many switch cards in decks for it to work
i did, i think unfair stamp, prime catcher and scoop up are all good options but yea i thought scoop helped consistency the most and unfair stamp might be awkward to play in certain situations because your trying to build up your hand and when you would want to play it roxanne can be used. but i think any of those three fit in the deck really well
thanks so much, i want to do that eventually like with proxies before a new set comes out or something. ive also thought of recording locals and talking over them as a secondary thing to the ptcglive gameplay. i think thats what your asking, you mean physical cards right?
yea probably not a good gardy matchup, in theory you could stick something active with too much damage to accelerate too but the odds of that probably arent good. its really just a fun deck with a few good matchups if you flip enough heads lol
thanks, i try to do my best to point out the stuff i think is valuable while playing the decks i think are cool or what i think people would be interested in
I feel like swapping prime catcher out for scoop up cyclone would be a solid option for adding an quick pivot from a regidrago about to die to a new one and saving the energy on it as well . Because regidrago is a vstar as well some leafy camo ponchos and the altaria that swaps all dage counter to opposing pokemon would be nasty . You could really tank tf out of shit . Im gonna screw around with a a deck . I like components of this deck but i def think it could be mad emu h more menacing
i thought about the altaria that puts the opponent to sleep and they have to flip two coins but i was thinking there would be more switch's in the format. the other altaria is colorless unfortunately or it wouldve definitely been in the deck. i didnt think too much about sccop up tho, that would be cool cause its like a heal and draw two with ogerpon and can reuse it with the vstar power
I wanna play this deck, but I feel like I'm gonna be bad at using Shonobi blade and knowing what card I'll need next. I gotta practice it tho, it just seems so fun. Greninja just seems so much more interesting than Dragapult for me
greninja is the deck ive had the most fun playing from the new set for sure. alot of the time you just grab cards to finish your set up, its the trickiest part of playing the deck but its something youll get way better at the more you play the deck from trying different plays and just learning matchups
i was thinking just two shot it with the regidrago v or your own cornerstone ogerpon. its unfortunate duraludon vmax isnt in the format anymore cause that was a great shred attack
@sixpokemanstcg maby try Addington the temporal forces koridon ex and canceling cologne so you can do 280 for recoil over loosing energy. I would also then maby add professor turo incase it gets put in Active on start.
that koraidon would be good in the deck too or raging bolt, could definitely just switch it out for either cause the thorton is in there. i put the thorton in planning to add one of the basic dragons and never ended up doing it. i left the thorton thinking it could get the cornerstone ogerpon back or switch the grass ogerpon for a drago and not need the energy switches but it might be a little too cute and just be better as a turo or third boss or another consistency card

if u play a couple of psychics u don't need the ogrepon to shred mimikyu since the monkidori can then attack (and move clunters to deal with the mimikyu) the only way really to deal with the 1 shotters is to rely on the ace spec to save u and cheren's care. but i get ya the lack of recovery if u get wiped means chen pau is a problem
yea the original list i saw had the psychic energy, i just think the fighting ogerpon is really good tho. chien pao can only attack with iron hands and you could win that trade cause of the heal and its good against zard. canceling cologne in the pao matchup could be a real problem tho so maybe its not worth it, just seems like such a good card. would be cool if the tool didnt discard when you would get one shot and you could loop it with the cherens care
@sixpokemanstcg Chen pao is such a rough match up. I've been experimenting with a rosanne and the survival tool. the ability to get back a double energy and the tool plus an extra Mon and the stadium (altho with artiz stadium not that useful) has saved a few times. vs Goldeng and Chen the other thing I've been looking at is a 1-1 toedcruel line with a couple of grasses. it works with dte so can attack mimikyu. can deal 160 into zard if needed and prevent chen and ghold bringing back retrievals
o nice, i was thinking about the roseanne too but havent tried it cause it seems hard to get the tool into your hand but town store could make it so you can grab it right away. if the couple bad matchups get figured out blissey might be unstoppable
@sixpokemanstcg well u have a lot of arvins and have u have room a tool box item card is quite good. so u put stuff back in in preparation for arvin in a later turn. the rosanne is a bit niche most of the time it's just fodder but it has come in clutch a few times for me. so I'd rather have it
yea definitely, i thought about playing mist energy or a gift energy and that would make the roseanne even better if you find the mist or gift early. i forgot the tool box card even existed lol. im definitely going to mess around with the deck more cause there's so many different ways you could play it since it moves the energy
its way more consistent than i originally thought it would be. with the ogerpon, shoes and gears getting sada every turn feels almost so easy. definitely the deck i would choose to play in a tournament right now
i like this 60 a lot i think you should consider adding the fighting ogerpon and penny gives u free win against chien pao, arc regi, and charizard. Its attack can bypass mimikyu. ( i think)
thanks and i agree about the ogerpon, i cut heavy ball for it. was considering cutting slither wing for it but i like the idea of having a one prizer for certain situations, might not need it tho. and yea the ogerpon gets thru mimikyu, i didnt realize how good the cornerstone ogerpon was when i made this video and now ive been putting it in a lot of my decks
Love Bannette, such a fun card to play. I had it in my Espartha deck to deal with the Chien Pao match up but might use this recipe and have them be the star of the show lol
thats one of the things i wanted the most in the list but i wanted to do the double drifloon double charm so i couldnt find a spot for it. with the version more focused on drifloon could probably cut the flutter mane for second vessel. i wanted it to be a bit faster than the list people have been playing, like go second and tm evo and be able to hit big numbers the next turn
Wait, how is your game so big? This is TCG Live right? Whenever I play on my tablet it never goes landscape mode, unless they released an update on it..
with no pidgeot at all? i tried with a 1-1 bibarel i think it was but never tried without the pidgeot cause it seemed good. do you run it like a charizard bibarel deck but with blastoise instead of charizard?
@@sixpokemanstcg no so I'm still a going first deck, no arven package although an arven would be nice. I run a 3-1-3 Squirtle line 2-2 palkia line 2-2 bib line and rad Greninja and skwovet to reset my hand and dig
Been watching you since you kept getting suggested to me a few weeks ago. I've seen my fair share of ptcg tubers who have weird whacky off-decks, like they are just trying to not play something tiered for the sake of it but don't grasp what makes a deck good or not. And then 90% of replays are just other bad decks or people massively misplaying and they win by default. This channel is the opposite and you have actually conveyed a real understanding of the metagame in pretty much every upload I've seen. Breath of fresh air, and I actually see some neat locals-level and sometimes regional placing level decks that don't get considered. Dont stop uploading, youre up next
thanks, thats awesome to hear. thats like exactly what im trying to do. im trying to get better at explaining myself but i like playing fun decks when im just messing around online and hoping to throw some tips in about sequencing and prize mapping and stuff like that i think is important to do well in the game. i try to give people a realistic idea of what a deck could accomplish and not lead people on or overhype a deck unless i actually think its good. thanks so much for the comment and checking out the videos
thanks, i do explain and put time stamps for it incase people want to know right away. and its because most people dont like playing against the deck cause snorlax doesnt let your opponent retreat and wins by deck out so its not actually peoples favorite deck
yeah ptcgo is weird sometimes. played 6 games back to back and every single one of them i started with roxane in my opening hand. so i can see what you mean with cancelling cologne drawing better and the way the game works lol
its so weird and its something ive noticed with a few different decks when i try different cards that shouldnt affect consistency. could just be in my head but it was drawing great every game before i switched it
thanks for playing my list bro, i will take into consideration what u said and will try to make it more competitive. thanks a lot, really apreciate it.
no problem. the decks that place damage like that are always a little harder to play cause you have to see a few turns in the future. i started with the exact list you gave me and ended up with the two in the video, i really like irida with palkia decks so i leaned a little more into that. even with 8 switching cards i still wanted more in a couple games lol. thanks for sharing the list with me, i didnt even think about trying something like this until you pointed it out
Liked and subscribed. 😊 This was the first deck i made once Temporal Forces were out. Had alot of wins with it irl. Can beat any deck in the format if run smooth and hot. My favorite play is the surprise mela to Delphox v to claim 4 prizes🔥
thanks so much. thats awesome, i wanted to get the delphox play off but so many people were ready and benched the manaphy before i could. its cool to see the deck pop up and start doing good in the online tournaments again
how do I actually win against this with my Dialga Metang deck? the lists I see only play a prime catcher and nothing else that switches your active pokemon
against the straight snorlax deck that cant knock you out you can either try and go aggressive and boss their rotom and use the vstar attack as quick as you can and disrupt their hand on the turn after you use vstar or only have dialga in play and just manually attach to it every turn and maybe bench zamazenta to build up for mimikyu. try and discard your greninja and beldums with ultra balls if you can. alot of it depends on them not hitting greninja or beldum off erikas and you being able to get value out of prime catcher. knocking out the rotom and keeping their hand as small as possible is your best bet tho
like just palkia? ive done a video on palkia raging bolt and palkia blastoise but havent seen any just palkia lists since rotation. the closest i could just find after looking is a 3-3 palkia with 2-0-2 pidgeot and 1-0-1 blastoise. thats what i based my blastoise list off but switched a 1-1 palkia for an extra squirtle and blastoise and cut i think energy switch and ciphermaniac for 2 rare candy. i think both the decks i just listed are pretty solid, i think the raging bolt one is a bit better. the blastoise one gets messed up by the tm devolution people are running for zard and the iron hands deck and can struggle against lost box because raikou one shots everything in the deck and they can recycle it easily. or are you talking about a totally different deck?
i should also ask what your goals are, if your trying to win a regional or be as competitive as possible one of the top tier meta decks like charizard, lost box, chien pao, etc are gonna be the way to go. but if your just trying to have fun and and do decent at locals and online then those decks are solid. i do think there is untapped potential with raging bolt and that could be the list with palkia or the lost zone version im not too sure
@@sixpokemanstcg I've been considering palkia iron valiant, there is this build from ocg which has been doing great, I will share the list with u. The problem is I don't have those cards in real life and would like to see it in action first..I will share with u. As for what is my goal is play for fun but still have a deck that get ppl by surprise and at least playable. 3 palkia, 3 palkia vstat, 3 iron valiant, 1 radiant greninja, 1 squakabilly, 10 water energy , 4 professor, 2 iono, 1 boss, 1 irida, 4 nest ball, 4 switch, 3 switch cart, 1 lost vacuum, 2 earthen vessel, 2 pokestop, 3 future booster capsule, 1 prime catcher, 3 poke gear, 1 palpad, 2 superrod, 2 techno radar, 3 ultra ball. I would change 1 ultra ball for an extra switch cart, but still that's the original list. If you could do a video of it I would be really appreciative
against any other one prize deck its really just tempo, whoever gets the first knockout and doesnt miss a turn wins. it probably loses to a few lost cities and control probably isnt fun and if zard can heal at the right times and gets rotom off the board its not gonna win. its just meant to be a fun deck, i wish i could find a deck that beat everything and broke the meta lol
i just realized your the same person asking about your junior. i think this is a fine deck for juniors, do alot of the kids play lost box? i think if you go second against it and time the iono's right it should be winnable. ive only played the matchup once and i lost but it was really close, if i hit the turn one attack or if they missed an attack off any iono i wouldve won. you could try a jirachi in the deck so they cant sableye for multiple prizes ever if lostbox is too popular. but overall this seems like a great deck for a junior because it should help learn sequencing and prize mapping because both of those are really important with a deck like this
i kinda feel the same about it. i want to find something that fits nicely but so far ive just found stuff like this. ive been meaning to spend more time looking for stuff but i always get sketchy about downloading songs from random sites and hoping they arent copyrighted
i looked to see if any made day two and i mustve scrolled past it several times. i did a video on a lost box bolt i saw on play limitless but forgot who played it and his list looks just about the same. thanks for that, i wonder if hes the one playing it online or if he inspired it
