Thanks a lot. I needed this. I am currently in this exact situation and was just thinking about this today while studying. I've been wanting to do post a video, tellling myself I am going to. I will even set up my camera, but change my mind because it isn't perfect or "I don't have time".
Living a great dream! I aspire to do something similar one day soon. I need to build the fundamentals for myself first. Happy to come along and watch your adventures!
I have a noob question. I am absolutely new to this. Some hostels have a small sink in the room itself. Is it only for washing hands? What is acceptable and not acceptable to use it for? Like if one had to shave their face/beard. Would it be ok to do that? Thank you!
I am a bit more "pessimistic" in my view since I can't see anyone voluntarily just start handing out UBI or UHI even (I'm very doubtful enough new jobs will be created to match all the ones getting lost. But I might also just lack the imagination). Yes I do agree, everything might be fine in the end and I certanly see the possibilities for humans having a lot better lifes but since "we" allready could fix poverty and scarcity, with the resources and money in the world, but we don't I can't see how it just magicaly would get fixed now. I belive some kind of fight/struggle will be what get us there. Bottom line, companies will replace human labor for profit, to make profit they need consumers and consumers need come kind of currency to spend. So there will be a moment of catch 22. But I do hope this might be the first painful steps toward a moneyfree world where we just own everything and prosper together and there would be no need for overconsumption, absurd hunt for individual riches etc etc... But by then I will most likely allready be dead and buried. ;) Interesting times and these techs are impressive. The productivity could skyrise and all the possible new solutions to problems we've had are most likely incredible. All the new proteins etc that's been discovered/mapped is only the beginning I think. We might solve limitless energy as well. I am in awe of all the things we will be able to do. But I do not trust us. Or rather, I trust us to be us still and the pain and suffering on one side of the coin will still be there while the other side of the coin will shine like never before. ;) Have a nice day! I like your video and thoughts about this. =)
I bought this camera 2 yrs ago. Was not satisfied with its image quality so, sold it out. My goto camera for wildlife photography are 1DIV, 5DIII & 7D. For other puposes, I use 40D, 5D Classic and 5DII. BTW, I'm DSLR forever. Thank you for the video.
I just learned about the 6 month rule after checking the requirements, I got worried because I am supposed to be going to America in August(and back home at the end of august) and my passport expires in September. I was just searching and apparently as a British citizen traveling under the visa waiver program…. It doesn’t apply to me because US and UK are buddies. 💀 Made me so anxious for a second, glad I know for the future, and glad I watched the video.
Women beware: before traveling know this law that could trap you abroad. This happens all the time yet I've never met a mother who knew what the Hague law was before it destroyed her life. We are told if our partner is abusive then leave him. Nobody thinks that means you will lose custody of your children who will be given to your abuser possibly without even an assessment of the best interest of the children. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xuf9w9exgNk.htmlfeature=shared
Also an introvert, also love travelling solo and thinking about life, it’s probably one of the things I love the most in life actually. It’s funny how many people find it weird and assume the normal thing to do is to travel with people, while this is the most natural thing for me. That’s what made life harder when I was younger because I didn’t really know how to be introverted but now that I’m starting to discover it more, I definitely love it, just when I do things that are aligned with who I am.
I've had my Canon EOS 90D for almost 3 years and I still believe this is a one of a kind DSLR to have in your collection! I learned a lot from using this camera. I was a bit hesitant at first, but once I understood the basics of photography and benefits of using the EOS 90D I can say it made me more confident to use it more often!
I'm planning 3-4 weeks in July-August. I would like to go into it without prebooking any accomodation prior to the trip, maybe a day or two before when I've gotten on the move. I would just need a decent place to sleep. Is it doable or too naive? And when travelling with a larger backpack, where do you keep it all day? Ideally I would move around with a daypack.
Was going to get the R5 but I decided to go with another 90D. The 90d megapixels is great for run and gun. These days with all these new cameras options with 4k and 8k remind me of ev cars with all these options to go any and everywhere. However when you get to 90% of the charging stations when you pull up the just don't work. If you are doing a lot of youtube and weddings a lot of the new cameras are just overkill. 8K REALLY 4k has not even been mastered. When facebook or youtube gets a hold of it the content on these new cameras the videos are simply compressed down shelling out 5-10 k for a camera when dealing with mostly average couple weddings who are on budgets is just not ideal. Where are they doing to store the space with all those big files lol The 90 D is a great camera for all your photography needs. I have some great lenses for it. Great content and video Collin. Thank you
Great comment. I ponder on getting higher end 📸's but when I think about it 90% of my content will be viewed on social media & 90% of people will view from a smart phone. Its diminishing returns for me. You will need a higher powered CPU & more expensive SD cards when filming 6K or 8K. The average person doesn't care if your 📸 film 4K or higher. They just want to know if it look good. It's easy to get caught up on 📸 influencers an their pointless test. Who will be zooming in 500%?
swiss guy here. really liked this video of yours, Collin. But I would need to disagree on switzerland. switzerland is expensive and locals are pretty closed off to tourists. especially people who are there alone. In terms of safety its great here. But you RARELY go into a sit-down dine restaurant in Switzerland alone without getting a weird look. I hate that this country is like that.
I love my 90D, it's an absolute beast for wildlife and bird photography. Unfortunately, the writing is on the wall for Canon dslr cameras. Its not that there is anything wrong with the gear (personally I love all my dslr's) but as the years go by, Canon will simply discontinue service parts for ef lenses and dslr cameras so that when they break, malfunction or date, you will not be able to get them repaired or serviced. I have an old ef 24 - 70 mm f2.8 i L lens. The glass is perfect but the autofocus is shot and it gives me error readings. I took it to Canon to be repaired, but since the parts are discontinued, they just won't help me and I have to throw what was an expensive lens at the time into the dustbin. I think that ultimately, this is what will happen to their entire dslr range and to the ef lenses. For us, "average Joe's", investing in camera bodies and lenses is not a cheap exercise. I find it extremely frustrating that having invested so heavily in dslr camera bodies and ef lenses and having at last built up a fairly respectable camera bag, that Canon has just decided to press gang all of us into its mirrorless mania. It is for this reason that if I was buying my first camera today, I would go mirrorless and begin a collection of rf lenses.
