What these guys (and maybe even girls) do is beyond superhuman.About 30 years ago (i was maybe 15), my father was very involved in the F-16 program at Beauvechain Air Force Base in Belgium. I remember a demo-pilot called Joseph who was legendary, like a rockstar. He was built like a brick wall and after one of his demo flights, he showed me the black box recording. There were 2 constants: the first was the plane always warning that it was going into overdrive and not being flown like it should.Warning en red lights all over. The second was the heavy breathing, laboured gasping for air from the pilot everytime he pulled a maneuver. He came out of that F-16 sweating like a horse, had one beer and went to sleep. That's how much these kind of flights demand from a person's body. Nothing but respect. (sorry for the long comment)
Amazing…in a very bad way. I owned and flew my Starduster Too for several years without incident. The pilot in this video obviously HATES this Starduster! Additionally, he HATES his life and wishes it to end ASAP! Despite his numerous attempts to tear the airplane “limb from limb” he was unable to do so. What a complete and absolute fool!!!!!
OK but... what is the terminology for that type of landing gear streamlining. It's not wheel pants, There is a term, I've forgotten what it's called. Driving me crazy... Can you help?

As far as I have heard, the sound is the result of the air flowing through the (empty) gun outlets (4x 30 mm). I have never ever heard this sound during the time the Hunters (both mk 4 and mk 6) were flying for the RNLAF in the fifties and sixties. If I am wrong please correct me. It's a pity that the Dutch Hawker Hunter Foundation had to sell this plane because they couldn't make ends meet. They still got one Hunter left, a T8C, representing the 20 T7's the RNLAF once had.
Thanks for sharing this! I might tell you it brought tears to these old eyes! I was born in 1950 and (mis)spent my youth growing up in Braunton, just down the road from RAF Chivenor. I well remember seeing hunters just about every day! A beautiful aeroplane, not just good looking, but (apparently) a dream to fly! Thanks again!
Beautiful and very nice rare historical war plane....brave pilots flew these awesome machines to glory in defense of their country....must keep them where they belong.....in the air!!!!!
