Each new version of NEST is evidently different.... different display and different things to change to make the damned thing "manual." Why do I have to go day-by-day to eliminate temp setpoints if all I want is a manual override to stop all of that?

How horrible did they have to make it - when after spending about $300 on a smart thermostat all everyone wants to do is disable EVERY smart feature on the thing. I literally HATE my nest, but I refuse to replace it simply cause what was spent on it.
