1:09:45 HOW is he inviting her to go to the final dinner at the G8 after she has interrogated his boss twice and almost cost him his job? Plus by this point he knows she has spent time in prison and hasn’t even established what she did to end up there, when he is supposed to be making sure she isn’t at the G8 to protest/cause trouble… I love this film but on my 2024 rewatch I’m finding it a little unbearable two thirds of the way in. The way Kelly McDonald’s character confronts the Chancellor is blunt, tactless and unendearing, and all done with no thought at all for the guy she’s supposed to be falling for.
That’s some gruesome stuff. It really gets under your skin… …that is, someone who apparently never learned public speaking, and forever is going: “Ah…uh…um…uh…um…uh, uh…*lip smack*…” That, piped straight into my ears for all eternity, is what my hell would be. (Cool scenes though. It’s a shame they lost the really nasty bits, and didn’t have the courage to put all these in the release. “Can you make this PG-13?” Lol - fuckin’ asiatics…)
Saw it on release ….scared the crap out of me but loved it. The panning shot from Gateway station at the start on a big screen is vertigo inducing. I thought all of this footage was lost so very interesting to see (I realise a lot more was lost). Still one of my favourites.
PSA: I’am a big Superman fan for over 30years. Love Christopher Reeves…however, this movie, and any bloopers, reels, deleted / unused scenes were just…pretty hard to watch. I couldn’t get past TS: 10:29. As to the great Christopher Reeves…he has not been forgotten…lo’….these 46 years. May he continue to…R.I.P. - Thank you.
Eu infelizmente tive o "desprazer" de ver Superman iv no cinema 😟...mais se o filme tivesse essas cenas aí com certeza seria o pior filme de "TODOS" os tempos 👈
OMG! now i know why the scene at 5:10 was cut. this looks more like an outtake. obviously nuclear man came out with a pot straddled between his legs covering his private part. if it did get put in the film, it could've gotten either a pg-13 or r rating
I remember watching SM3 at the theater, after seeing SM 1 and 2 a Million of times on TV. That was awsome. This 4 I took the VHS It disappoint me so much...
dear, your producers did the right thing. Otherwise, your film begins to resemble the brainchild of Clive Barker, which is not good. For the late 80s, the first version of the film would have been fine, but in the 90s it was already a runaway train.
Haven't Been This Surprised Since Papa Mousekewitz cameoed In CW Seed Sitcom LA Ranger and If you don't know who I'm talking about that was Fievel Mousekewitz Father In The American Tail Franchise
I always could have swore I saw a scene in this movie where someone got burned in a zero g fire and the flames were like floating liquid. Must have dreamed it i guess. Was none the less disturbing though
No I don't believe you dreamed it, I remember it as well. I'm trying to think of the movie it was in. Because the whole scene was set up earlier in the movie, someone said "have you ever seen fire burn in zero g? It's terrifyingly beautiful..." Or something like that.
