Librarian by trade, I am a collector of things...things that I enjoy, so I chose to share them. Thank you for taking the time to check out my channel! I started off the channel with tarot and now I make videos about whatever I fancy. Feel free to get in touch to chat or if you have questions.
Oh wow!!! I have a version of that book. It’s a large hardcover from about 25yrs ago. I didn’t know the value of it. In fact, I got the book because the person who had it wanted to trash it.
its time his film "Pink Narcissus" was given the full re-mastering (with all the extras) to Blu-ray treatment...commentaries, other works that JB might've committed to film and photography, essays, and at least some budget to properly clean up the image and straighten (?) out the framing, as every copy I've seen of it on DVD seems to have a problem with the titles. If grindhouse can get great Blu-ray remastering for very obscure films, as well as all of Kenneth Angers work, i can't see why this classic cult film wouldn't be successful.
agreed! i wish they would make their own film too. if a documentary was made about James Bidgood, they would be the first best choice...at least for its art direction!
I like how the arrangements are generally, just the plants. I don't consider this an art deck (which tend not to fully be a tarot deck), but a didactic one. Where Destiny and the Paladin are in sequence of the Tree of Life or such things is not explained; which I think all extra cards should or different orders of listing the sequence than standard Qabalah order.
So i recently aquired a black and white version of this deck. The box and information says printed in 2004, and its a "color your own". This copy is also signed, 1200 only printed.
Darn it! The book is available on Amazon as of July 2024, but the cards are seemingly out of print. I hope he will reissue them. Thank you for this review.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I love what you have read and the wonderful cover of the book. My dear mother loved fuchsia too. I'll buy it as soon as I learn how Kindle works (I'm more into physical editions). Affectionate greetings from Spain.
My sincere condolences on the passing of your grandmother. I well know the value of poetry therapy. It has helped me ameliorate the rough spots of life.
I bought this book as a teenager when you could still buy such books in the US from bookstores. I kept it hidden away at home during my high school years lol.
