I hold Tesla, Palantir, Kodal Minerals, Powerhouse Energy, Maxeon Solar Technologies, Legal and General and I was long term planning to buy the S&P 500 through VUSA or iUSA etc. I have however sold up my VUSA and sent a buy order for 56 shares of the iShares IT IITU as I believe it will be a good long term play. I agree having a cash reserve is a good idea for crashes, I have been thinking of this, I considered putting a small amount in to iShares physical gold ticker SGLN, as this way you are protecting yourself in volatile times and if the market crashes, various investors will park funds in gold meaning your gold holdings will skyrocket and you can then decide when to transfer them gains in to bleeding stocks! Be savage when there is blood in the waters! NFA. All the best.

Why do British citizens accept these kind of wages? It’s clear that with inflation and inflation even with jobs requiring skills the wages are still suppressed ? On the other side of the Atlantic and in Western Europe countries the wages are most higher ! Yes some of those countries the tax is higher but atleast their public services are not on the brink of collapse!

Bro has almost £10K on Palantir fml... I would sell right now and switch to passive index funds and put in monthly... less stress, more time to do other money making movements (jobs, promotions, side hustles) and you're not setting yourself up for heartbreak.
even as someone working full time in finance at an investment bank I never pick individual stocks - you are competing against institutions with vastly more resources, access to information, speed, technology etc than you will ever have. Frankly, unless you are an investment professional or spend a lot of time looking at financial statements, you are just gambling. My advice: buy an index fund with low fees and focus on your career to maximise your income. That is the best use of your time.

I think you're right if taking about short term holds and going too heavy. But a 90% index funds and 10% individual stocks for example would be a reasonable move.
