Je ne me souviens plus des nombreux pansements de Montand , je me souviens plus de celui sur l'arête du nez . Pas sur le front et je me souviens également des cicatrices au visage . Mais pourquoi il a fait cela ?
I very rarely seen movies portray the 1911 very well. Most of them never have the hammer back or they have infinite ammo. Only a few films seem to really get it right and not entirely most of the time.
I don't think the modern polymer framed pistols such as Glocks, SIGs, etc will last the test of time of a steel framed Colt 1911 or a steel framed Beretta 92, or even the Colt 1873/76 Peacemaker, or Webley 1887 revolver, Mauser C96, etc, all of which are still going strong after at least 100 years.
I would love to hear a reply from France. This movie is from about 1978. Is it actually possible that a police inspector would be allowed to carry such an American revolver in .357 magnum? If somebody over there knows some old retired policeman, that would be fantastic!
Pellicola molto bella, certo nulla di eccezionale e c'è qualche ingenuità nella sparatoria finale ma comunque interessante, quindi molto bella e molto bella per me come valutazione è 7,5.
Gotta love sound design of old movies. They all got their own unique sound effects library. So unique that you can sort of guess what country made the movie based on the sound design.
The reason why is because of the history of the police use of the double action revolvers in 1900-1990. American civilians can own these police revolver designs and love them. American civilians can expend an enormous amount of time and money training marksmanship at the shooting range every year and have extra time to continue to practice with older classic revolvers to remember history. I know some older guys who reload their own cartridges and shoot more than 1000 rounds of .357 magnum a month. Practicality has little to do with the private citizen's interest in firearms outside of self defense in America. In France, the police like American designs. They used Colt and Smith and Wesson designs for a while and modified a Smith and Wesson to make the Manhurin revolvers which are legendary for use in Gendamerie and GIGN. The police of both countries used the revolver for over a hundred years so the history is a huge part of why revolvers were used until 1980 and 1990. American gun owners like tradition and classic firearms. They still collect old cowboy revolvers from 1860's and will pay much more than 3000 USD for them. The .357 magnum Smith and Wesson and Colt revolvers were first introduced to penetrate automobile doors and engines because motorized crime on the new USA interstate highway system was a problem in the United States in the 1930s to 1940s. Semiautomatic pistols did not become popular in United States until 1990 when the US military pistol M9 (Beretta 92fs) was also adopted by police forces to provide increased firepower. In France civilians do not have many semi automatic pistols even today. As a result, police did not have to upgrade to semi automatic pistols until 1985-1990s in United States or France because the criminals did not have increased firepower until organized drug criminals began using automatic pistols and machine guns in the 1980's. Until then, semi automatic pistols were mostly used by the American military. One unique quality of United States police was that from 1945 to 1985, the police had revolvers designed by Smith and Wesson and Colt specifically for police use. They did not use the same pistols as the United States military (like the Colt 1911) until after 1985. However, in the Soviet Republics, most of the police handguns originated from military design or use, so they received semi automatic pistols much earlier like the Makarov. Now the US police use the same pistols as the US military much like the Soviet Republics did. Glock 17, Sig p320 (M17). The S&W Model 19 and Colt Python are legendary and extremely beloved by American shooters even today. They are considered the lawman's gun for peace and order from their time. Kind of like the "good guy's gun". Check out American movies "Dirty Harry", "Magnum Force".
Surprised how many old movies didn’t have them commercially die, and actually had it be a little realistic, the boat one looked much less fake then I expected
y yahorrrrrra mismo there was a fantastic film with Bruce WiIlis and Chris Walken which had the most realistic use of firing and reloading the Colt 1911 in a combat situation and was literally the star weapon of the film....name???????????
