For anyone wondering, “Bible study for adults” is only a Google search away. I just tacked on “near me” because I’d like to do it in person. Now I’ve got a few places in mind that I will look into.
What a beautiful story of redemption. Thanks you Jay for sharing your heart. I will always remember you saying "you got to put both hands out in surrender to Jesus". May God bless you abundantly!
He is showing a rare depth of understanding here. Remember that the Commandments don't grant Eternal Life, only God (YWH) does. Yes, God DOES walk by the Commandments. As a famous Church Father said: "The Commandments and the Law are a School Teacher for mankind before mankind can receive Christ"
God murdered a baby. 2 Samuel 12:15-18 - "Then Nathan went home. And the Lord caused the baby boy who was born to David and Uriah’s wife to become very sick. 18 - On the seventh day the baby died." And God is wrathfully jealous and covets the worship of the entire world. God made pregnant another man's wife. That's adultery. God sent the Israelites into Canaan to steal their land from them. Do you even read the Bible?
This is the reason why people don't take Christianity seriously. What an absolutely ridiculous and stupid thought experiment. The Bible doesn't need philosophical interpretation. Just read it and do what it says.
True that is who God is but they were only meant to show you the standard and that you can't meet Gods standard. So God demands a Sacrifice to be punished in your place but said one day there would be a Sacrifice to end all Sacrifices. It all points at Jesus. Either Jesus takes your punishment or you do. Rom 10:9
Great way to put it. I'm sure some nutbars will give this outlook a narcissistic spin. No,.. folk need to be allowed to fail and do wrong. otherwise, discernment isn't there
Serious wisdom in this podcast. “Imitating Christ” vs “Becoming Christ” Rule following vs Integration Thank you so much, this podcast deserves way more views 🙏🏻 Bless you all
@mikemcelroy3263... Jesus said, "Thou shall love the Lord with all thy heart and all thy soul, and all thy mind. This is the first commandment. And the second is like unto it, thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang ALL the law and the prophets. Matthew 22:37-40. That sums up the "Ten Commandments.
As Joker said the only sensible way to live in this world is without rules. When it comes to it, you will feel the need to murder if your life is to end, and no magical 10 commandments will magically pop up in your head before you do it. I never murdered but what is it our governments do?
If someone murdered your mom and the judge, let him go free without justice, would u not say that he’s a bad judge? And be very angery? With out justice for evil deeds, wouldn’t that make God evil?? Instead he sent his son who loves us dearly too choose to die in our place, for all the floods and beating we deserve for how wicked we are and have become, and if u obey Gods commands, your life will prosper and so will ur nations because his words are true, but when u choose to disobey, your nation starts to crumble and become wicked, and u get a president like Biden.
@@KeelanJon so if I break into your house with multiple ill intentions. You shoot and kill me, that’s not murder, it’s a killing but not a murder. Murder is the shedding of innocent blood. Who among us is innocent outside of the redemption of Christ?
What he is saying here is "What if the 10 commandments dont apply specifically to me?". Listen to the context. They are for kids. They are for God. But they aren't for a father, (because I, a father, like to break them.)
@Bambuzzsprosse Sure didn't explain that!!! He should have. Because that's not how I read my bible!! I read it like it says!!! If it's children then it's children which in the bible it shows them as innocent soooo where did he come up with that??? Clarification is needed!!! Because right now...he's WRONG!!!
@@spanishlady3270 Clarification is only needed for a) persons too unintelligent to read between the lines or b) persons who don't want to read between the lines and misunderstand him on purpose.
@Bambuzzsprosse GET REAL!!! THE Bible is clear!!!! There's no misunderstanding the bible!!!!! If you wanna put an analogy on the bible say it is don't just change it!!!!
@Bambuzzsprosse There's no reading between the lines in the bible...if it says children then it's children...if it was adults acting as children then it is also clarified in the bible..!!! Don't confuse the children ( using his analogy!)...
well yeah but kids aren't really out murdering each other either... they still learn pretty early on that murder is bad. just because a kid is unlikely to do something doesn't mean they can't understand
Every intention of man is evil continually from his youth.. Gen. 8v.21 G-D understands men he created us after all. It’s us who don’t understand ourselves. ALL GOOD can only come from G-D. If you believe otherwise you’re living a fantasy.
@@rharris401 hey, don’t get mad at me. I’m not the one making the claim. I don’t have to be an authority on anything. You’re the one spitting on anyone who doesn’t believe your fantasy. Look in the mirror.
@@FarqueTheLeft I appreciate you're adolescent ego likes the idea of people caring enough about what you say to get mad about it... But you're nowhere close to it. Your initial comment is classed as a claim, so you are indeed making a claim regardless if you have the IQ to realise that or not. I have no expectation for people to believe what I do, quite the opposite in fact. But I can tell you're quite young, most likely highschool age. So I get it's probably gona be a good decade or two before your brain development finishes and you're able to formulate more than one sentence on the subject. Don't feel bad about it though, we've all been there kiddo.
@@jesseowens2275 perhaps. The outcome is quite the same. One party cancels out the others existence. seems quite basically the same. And i do not want to offend your god nor you. But to be fair killing someone or murdering seems to have quite the same outcome, Death. OR do you not agree? For the sake of argument i have nothing against your god, or you. I am sure you believe he did what he had to do. And thats fine, But it is still the same
