In Snnuy's video there were bots commenting: "ban all comments except (some random ytb channel, can't remember the name). And there were bunch of these.
Ive seen these too under those types of videos. Its very very weird. Might be some anon group trolling/fear mongering its pretty common to pay to have bots flood comments under specific videos
Update: now I'm seeing this same name pattern on different topic videos. Last name, full name, full name, and then first name. Saw it on nasa bs about bs. So it's not channel locked. Engagement boosting bots. They are everywhere either putting together vague nonsensical sentences or buzz words/names from trending topics to trick youtube's algorithm into thinking a video is getting more engagement than it actually is. Theres a million theories as to who is behind them, including theories that youtube itself is behind them to artificially boost videos that are topical as to not have them accidentally burried.
Whatever channel that is is paying a bot service for engagement, your comment never goes live because whoever is in charge of the channel does not approve it. I think they use some sort of shadowban list, either people or words, as I've seen the same behavior where any number of comments get added immediately but if I comment or reply mentioning certain topics it never goes live; not sure if its the actual owners of the channel or youtube itself who review though.
The example that comes to mind is about one of the people involved in the MR beast allegations. In the video, the person claims that a particular youtube channel was deleted showing screenshots, but I searched for the channel in socialblade and it never existed. I commented about this in a channel that was reacting to the original video and it never showed up. guess I'll get proof if this comment shows up after a refresh.
Just regular engagement boosting bots. Pretty common but the random string of names is something I've not seen. Usually it is a generic sentence that mostly makes sense but is vague enough to fit anywhere.
What do these similarly named accounts say? Just a generic thing? Is there a pattern with their sentiment? edit: May be they are being used to aid in shaping the general opinion
Some of these accounts were pretty old. It's common for old accounts to be hacked and used as bots to increase engagement. Just another of YT's many problems.
Could be algorythm or a group effort to make a weird meme, all in all it's possible youtube flagged you as a bot and hide your comments, or that no one read them >.< youtube is a mess anyways Great song btw, definitely saving and listening to that one it sounds so catchy
it looks like algorithmic manipulation, although I don't know how it works. the names are specifically related to things that'd be trending, ESPECIALLY during this specific election year. like, Kamala HARRIS, DONALD Trump, etc. bots have been a really big issue in social media for a while, and it's literally been proven that there has been heavily financed campaigns by international governmental entities that use massive bot farms to manipulate information on social media, but youtube/google isn't really incentivized to fix the issue b/c they're getting paid by advertisers based on perceived impressions, whether they're real or not. ngl I double taked about where this came from at first lol, and was lowkey (highkey) concerned about where you were going with this before I kept reading just b/c I'm so used to seeing people in the gaming space with absolutely horrid views, but I also think it's important to address. we can't pretend we live in a vacuum when bot activity like this is happening on the platform you might potentially be trying to grow on. it might just be "politics" right now, it's not btw, but if it's allowed to persist w/o being challenged by creators, then it's going to destroy *any* organic engagement that channels could potentially have the moment a game is even remotely aware of the world we live in. like, just imagine mentioning "gender" in relation to gender locked classes and/or armors (which objectively suck, let's be real) and have bots swarm your comments to spew transphobia. regardless of how you feel about it (let's not frfr lol), it fucks up the experience for everyone involved. this is why you can't just demand people be "apolitical," which I honestly don't think is a thing, so you can pretend x/y/z doesn't exist. this is *especially* for some of the comments I'm certain will happen, but this idea of being "apolitical" isn't something everyone can do because it DIRECTLY impacts them, and it's incredibly childish to want people to not say anything about stuff like this b/c it makes you feel uncomfortable. ...unless we're talking about denying people's human rights. let's not do that, lol. anyways, people who are bothered by this discussion seriously need to grow tf up.
It's algorithm manipulation, no doubt. They want to bring this stuff to the forefront of people's minds because of what's happening in a few months. It's the same stuff every four years.
It's absolutely bots and it's absolutely being perpetrated by someone with a vested interest in those videos getting tons of engagement. The algorithm picks up on names and events that are top searches on Google. Hot topics and people get higher priority in the YT algorithm and therefor are pushed to the top of the list. It could be political subterfuge of some sort or simply for monetary gain. The bots are taking over, man! Where's my tinfoil hat?
Sapient. Sentience is feelings. Sapience in intellect. (The definitions I gave are relatively simplified, but..) I'm not sure if a sentient AND sapient program is better or worse than one that is simply sapient, but I cannot even properly picture what a machine that is only sentient would look like. A pet maybe? An animal? Is that scarier than if it were intelligent?

The majority of all the knowledge that humankind has agreed upon is at your fingertips. I would like to see people use this power more often; such as, learning the actual meanings of the words they use instead of trusting George Lucas to teach them about reality. (He refers to aliens with human-level intellect as "sentient" in the Star Wars movies; which I suspect is the place that most people who haven't any interest in understanding anything learned this mistake.)

I agree this election year has been the WORST on RU-vid. Bots everywhere. Censorship like crazy. Accounts deleted like never seen before(hence why this one is so young). This recent event seems like another “AI being sent out to learn speech” event. Like remember captcha? They want AI to better learn how people actually talk online…they want their propaganda to be better.
My guess would be that the bots boost engagement with the youtube algorithm in some manner. Since the more likes and comments a video gets the more it spreads and all that. My guess is that putting specific names in a comment catches the algorithms attention more than a regular comment. That's the only reasoning I can think of, I can't imagine any other reason because otherwise, the person running the bots gains literally nothing

Alright so to explain why the bots do this: RU-vids recent attempt at shutting down scam spam bots in comments that post links to scam sites and such is to check for weird activity in accounts that haven't had normal activity before hand. These bots are basically just listing random words, usually names, in random channels to attempt to make the account look like pinocchios a real boy to the anti bot system. Since youtube cant just update the site to ban accounts that say weird words on random videos, since thats sorta how most real people comment anyway, this is what we're left with : ) Huzzah for the internet
yeah I feel the same the game was fun but when I killed first ogre at lvl 4 with 4 sorrcerrors it was exhilirating but kinda dull. And when u can have one pawn givin everyone immunity to physical damage over and over the game kinda starts gettin boring. Here u need to strategize and shit. I ve done today some dragon huntin and one hunt was easy, just oneturned him the next turn was like what the hell happened? I died three second at start of the fight cos I was cocky.
this was really interesting video. Im personaly magic guy. I enjoyed the ranger and the fighter a lot but when I put my hands on sorcerror it was like I found home. it s well balanced for me cos yeah u have 15 second where u can die but on the other hands sync castin with pawns that know what to do and what u expects from them is so much fun. it s like settin up orchestra. U can one, one pawn joins u cast second second pawn join and woalla at one point enemy got pummeled by three or four different spells at the same time :D but I know u re so much better than me cos u played a lot so Imight reconsider playin different type of vocations in days to come but for now Imma stick with Sync castin and play hella shittton of that :) Thanks for interetin video :)
If anyone is still watching this, I am currently troubleshooting my sorcerer pawn and would appreciate any sort of advice or insight. The issue I am currently trying to solve is her behavior, which causes her to keep running into enemies at melee range. Therefore just I wanted to confirm a few things and ask some questions Based on some of my testing, inflection also seems to cause spellcaster pawns run up to enemies, similar to bastion. On a similar topic, can anyone confirm if magic defense augments like awareness have the opposite effect of bastion on pawn behavior? To be more specific, does it cause pawns to keep a distance and move further away from enemies? Based on my testing so far, awareness doesn’t seem to have any noticeable effect on pawn behavior. Another question I have is whether or not pawns equipped with spells with shorter ranges, such as fulmination and comestion, can cause pawns to run into the center of a large group of enemies? The reason I’m asking this is because I did some testing and discovered that, for whatever reason, seism (un-upgraded) was seemingly the cause of my pawn exhibiting this behavior. The final behavioral issue I am trying to solve probably has nothing to do with augments and is most likely an issue with her inclinations. I noticed that sometimes my pawn just stares at certain enemies and does nothing but slowly pace around for a few seconds. It is only after a few seconds have passed that she actually starts to attack them. I get the strong feeling that this behavior is caused by her low bestiary knowledge not mixing well with the inclinations I have her set to. Utilitarian primary, challenger secondary, and medicant third. I am guessing that since utilitarian is her primary inclination, it is causing her to observe enemies she hasn’t encountered before and reacting only after they perform an action. If anyone can confirm or correct me on any of the things I wrote on this post, please do, I would very much appreciate it.
Imagine you want to play a MA but you first have to finish the game one time as a full Sorcerer and then fiinish about 75% of the NG+ still as a Sorcerer before being able to switch to a MA. I had a friend who just did that (btw even tho he deals the Max Dmg possible, he was mostly one shoted by the enemies during his playthrough). He stopped playing the game completely 6 hours after reaching his Minmaxed MA build.
