I have been using this exact same setup in my 1972 Mercedes 306d bus for a decade now. They make a nice metal hand pump that lasts longer. I broke the plastic one eventually. It us a great solution and I have been happy with ut.
Great clean build! I'm putting one in a 96 Tahoe. Do you have a list of the items for your power steering setup by the way? I like the clean look and the 6an lines, I just don't know the sizes/adapters for the Mercedes power steering pump. Cheers!
Does this have the NV3500 in it? Doomsday Diesel sells a 60x to NV3550 adapter and was wondering if it would work for the 3500 series?! Awesome swap man! 98 Dak here
Thank you! My Dakota came factory with an AX-15 in it, I bought the Mercedesdiesel4x4.com adapter kit (for a 4.0 Jeep) and replaced the bellhousing on my truck with a Jeep bellhousing. I kept the transmission in its factory position so I didn't have to change the transmission mount or driveshaft lengths. I'm not sure about the NVs!
www.mercedesdiesel4x4.com/product_p/a-mb202.htm I bought this adapter kit and replaced the bellhousing on my factory AX-15 with one that came from a 4.0 Jeep. Jeep flywheel, Jeep clutch, Jeep starter, and it all bolted together.
Front diff clears great, but the bottom of the oil pan is very close to the center link of the steering linkage. I put a 2” body lift on the truck to be able to move the engine up enough to clear the center link
Good job on the tutorial with the Autel TS501. In addition with reading and activating direct-fit, pre-programmed OEM and aftermarket TPMS sensors, you can program up to 16 blank Autel MX Sensors at the same time. My workplace uses an Autel TS508 to program blank Autel MX 1-Sensors at the customer's request. A real time saver, in case of dead sensors or a new set of winter wheels and tires.
She is alive! Very nice it started that easily for sure. The air temp that day was probably in the teens at best. Once that temp issue is fixed it should be a fun driver!
