What's your view on liquid shampoo vs bar shampoo for locks? I figured bar shampoo would actually help lock hair faster because it's like taking a sponge to the hair. But I could be wrong. I've been thinking about using soap nuts because soapnuts is all natural and if used with water should leave nothing in your hair. Plus it fathers incredibly well. I've made shampoo bars out of a soap baised bar and soapnuts and it leaves the hair squeaky clean.

I love interlocking without the latch. I originally started doing this when I knew nothing about locks. I generally interlock my hair after about 2 months of growth. And I make sure I never feel pain during the interlocking process. If you feel pain, you're doing it too tight. You should NEVER get alopecia. If you do that person doesn't know how to lock hair even if they have been locking hair for years. Even crocheting your locks you should never feel pain at all.

My locs are so thick my let down is stiff I want to interlock for longer retwist and looser locs but my edges are on the thin side should I start interlocking?

I think I’m going to use Shea on mine. It was the only thing that kept lint out of my natural hair and my locs are full of lint. I’ll be starting over soon because I haven’t gotten that far in the journey

I've seen where a couple of posters asked the same question, but I am not clear on the answer. If a loc was started in one direction, is it okay to change the direction when retwisting that loc?
@SkyeID
@SkyeID Месяц назад
oh, I thought conditioner will cause the locs to...un-loc lol and that you only use conditioner when you want to comb them out, that you just use water and oil to moisturize.

if retwisting at home with no form of blow dryer, are locs able to air dry well enough to ensure all product is absorbed, etc.? (or is there a better alternative?) would want to make sure the style is set in enough before removing any clips! i know you said about 30 mins under the dryer, but if one wasn't accessible how long would be best to keep the clips in/for the roots to dry completely? thank you so much!! ♡ you are both absolutely radiant, love your energy!

I bet that smells lovely! I love citrus/orange! But I find for me I can’t use citrus on my hair sometimes even on my skin, makes my hair more dry and or an eczema flare 😕 but I know this will bless others!😃

Totally understand queen!! We do take care to only use essential oils instead of synthetic fragrances to scent our products to avoid harmful irritants😇. We have other products like our peppermint Shea shampoo that’s calmer in scent💚

I’m new to having locs, what is an ACV rinse?
@thehouseofisisco
@thehouseofisisco Месяц назад
Greetings welcome to the loc family! Acv is apple cider vinegar rinse that some people use to remove buildup. It’s very harmful to locs and ruins the porosity of the hair. I always recommend using buildup-free products from the start of your journey our loc’d care kit is an excellent choice it’s vegan & buildup-free. You can find it here: houseofisis.co/collections/all-products/products/locd-care-kit

Question: I started my locs to the left would I need to restart to the right?
@thehouseofisisco
@thehouseofisisco 2 месяца назад
Hello in my video I’m not suggesting retwisiting all to the right either. I’m training the locs to meet in the middle/ center of the head. so the locs on the left side coming into middle, locs on the right being brought into the middle. This brings the locs off the face the way in which your hair naturally grows. So depending on how far in your journey you are you may be able to correct them. I recommend booking a 101 virtual loc consultation with me so that i can assess and guide you in the right direction for your loc journey. You can book here: calendly.com/houseofisisco

So did I. I haven't used much product because of fear of build-up. My hair would stay lacking. I remembered when I was using a relaxer, my hair would drink IT up. Now I feel comfortable giving MY thirsty hair what it needs! LOL
