Great day and a great video. I went as Blitzø, so thank you for featuring. Definitely felt the same regarding the photographers around the stage and the food section. Me and Emile had to avoid because he was too wide to fit down the walkway 😅 luckily we’d eaten before we arrived 😅
@@TheCoastalPigeon thank you for the kind words, and thank you for appearing in the Vlog, your group had made some amazing effort with the Cosplay 🙏 Hopefully at the next one the issues will be sorted, overall still a great day 💪🏻
Hi Jud Damo of the cosplay collective who ran the championship and masquerade. It's honestly a shame to hear that your view of the championship was obstructed. I will ask monopoly to do something about this in the future. We pride ourselves on giving the best possible experience to all cosplayers while at any cons we attend. As an olive branch we would like to offer you the chance to have your equipment at the front of the stage during the cosplay competitions for a better shot l. If you wish to do so please contact myself through social media and we can work something out Damo - The Cosplay Collective.
We went there on Saturday and it was garbage. Same sets all year, lina again doing the same couple of songs as every con, pre con carparking sales was rubbish, outside space at the enter/exit/food area was way to small and to many people for the venue. You would have thought this was there first event not an event by a company thats been at it for years. We went to Megacon on Sunday and what a difference. Best con this year so far.
@@robwallder1515 Not a huge fan of the Megacon events to be fair, nothing to do with the evbt itself, it just seems to focus a bit more on Magna and Anime which I'm not a great fan of. I do agree with all your points though and pretty much echo'd everything you said in the Vlog. They defo need to shake things up if they want to keep pulling in the punters 👍🏻
The guys on the road next few streets down with yellow parking signs were con men trying to charge 10 quid to park on the street when it was actually free
@@mrmakfisto Yeah, those scam artists are out every year, I've no idea why the police haven't dealt with them yet! Thankfully we only came across the genuine staff that were guiding us into the BEC 👏
I have subscribed and liked your video. i went to Manchester comic con last year i am going to Wales comic con to see Jensen Ackles and Mark Sheppard ❤❤❤🙂
@@Smylexxia Mr Dreadlocks was cosplaying as Ezikiel from the walking dead (and was doing a cracking job), Edward Scissor hands (or Chris) is a sound guy and not half as scary as he looks 😁
I went to Comicon Manchester before and I had such a great time, I rarely find supernatural merch and I managed to buy an angelblade there, just wish I could have gotten more. I’m obsessed with supernatural and would adore and love to be able to have the Dean plush! Hope you had a great time there!
Went to megacon in manchester, if you like manga and anime thats the place, not for me in future. enjoyed your coverage at bowlers and will see you there next time.
Another great video, still not been to one of these but would love to, although I wouldn’t want to be at a rammed one 😂 I’m not a people person 🙄 Thats such a shame that both Mystery Horror bags where identical, but I guess good for us as now we have a chance to win one 🤭 I’ve always been a Buffy Fan so the book 📖 would be best for me although I’m not a reader 🤔 & I preferred Willow in the series 🥰 Hope your all keeping well & enjoying the weekend, Take Care ❤🫶xx
Thanks guys. It was so rammed but it really does make the Atmosphere great. It just becomes a problem when you want to eat, drink, shop or breathe 😂 Thanks for watching and good luck in the comp 🤞
Shame no Soldier Boy this time haha Absolutely damn packed. Didn't feel like I could shop properly. Shame really because the vendors could sell more if floor space was a bit wider :( The woman cosplaying Bo Katan knew what she was doing.
Went to my first comic con at Manchester today, amazing day. Tons of brilliant cosplay peeps, just stunning. Loved the q and with Jimmy Vee and Spencer Prior and Michael Ironside and Tom Skerritt, legends! Also loved Lina and the Lions, awesome. Agree about the cosplay contest lots people filming content, was also throughout the q and a sessions too. If I win I'd love the IT pin badge😅 Great video, also loved your one last year too
Glad you had an amazing day 👏🏻 the cosplay was truly amazing. We love the effort people go through to create these masterpieces. Thank you for watching and good luck in the comp 🙌🏻
They will come. Universal is laser focused on taking over Disney. A universal theme park over there would be absolutely huge for them and you guys. It will work out. How many would say forget Florida and all the expenses we have universal here now.
@@Judventures the local economy will be transformed jobs for young adults , construction contracts galore and surrounding economy will be boosted also. The transport companies will make a fortune this project pays for itself.
I went myself and it was an okay exhibition, not fantastic, but, a bit overpriced, now, if they had live actors I would have been extremely impressed, plus, putting displays in glass cases makes it extremely difficult to get decent photographs, that white room was a huge let down, could have really done something impressive in there.
Have to admit, i want Universal as much as the next enthusiast, but I think the Gov thats been in office all of 5 seconds, during a cost of living crisis, after a suprrise snap election, probably does have bigger things to think about in this immediate second. I'll panic if theres no movements come year end. In terms of do I think it will happen? Still think very likely. But thats with the caveat that I wont be taking it as a given until theyve broken ground and I have said all along that if anything stops it, i suspect it will be to do with UK planning. So we shall see.
A well though out response.. Love it 👏 100% agree it will still go ahead, just the first of what I'm sure will be a few bumps in the road along the way 👍🏻
@@centrevezgaming4862 even with a delay the park is likely to open around 2030 so I highly doubt too many people will have aged out of Universal level rides by that point
Well we recently just had a government change give it a tiny bit of time also if Labour want this to happen it will do also its a big plus going into the next election that labour got Universal done.
@@StitchWasTaken1 they are already doing the project. A project works all the way from conception to completion. The decision to continue is just part of that process. That decision and announcement would have likely already been made had it not been for the delay in the government offering a financial support package.
The project has stopped moving forward until a government financial support package has been agreed. The project would likely have been further in its process had this aid package been agreed, Ie delayed.
Even if it costs hundreads of millions of £ to build some roads and railway upgrades etc. That is still around 0.01% of their budget. The government doesn't want the tax payer paying for infrastructure that is only really for the benefit of the park, without the park those upgrades don't need to exist so the park should really foot the bill and its a drop in the ocean to their budget. I'm not seeing any evidence of delays though, since no deadline was ever really given to start with. Universal has made parks around the world they surely accounted for these situations. The last government not being able to agree on a financial support package could just be because there was no point given they knew an election was coming, so the government did not focus on it since anything they agree without could've been undone by the next government.
@@WelshGuitarDude 0.01%? That would make the budget £100 billion? The budget is only £10 Billion. but yes, even so it's only a fraction of the overall cost, however I'd argue that there is no benefit to the park, people will turn up regardless of how well the local infrastructure holds up. The benefits will mainly be seen by local residents having better transportation options and less congestion, some of these plans for improvement were already in place before universal came knocking, which is why Universal likely dont want to foot the entire bill.
Should the title read “Delayed?”. As this is largely conjecture and how you read into it. The letter says the previous government couldn’t agree to a financial package. It doesn’t say communication or discussions broke down. I understand people feel the need to make content on this as it’s potentially so huge. But I think this is likely a non story. It’s simply that an election was called and the people that were dealing with this on the government side have since changed. Of course they couldn’t agree, the government changed. 😅
@@nemomaniac I think it all comes down to how you interpret the letter. The letter specifically asks if this government is willing to come back to the negotiating table which implies that the negotiations had ended. And the use of 'Delayed' seemed more appropriate than 'cancelled'. As I mentioned in the video, I fully believe that the project will go ahead, and would likely be further in the process than it is now, had it not been for the delay of financial aid not being agreed.
@@Judventures yeah, but if you look at the timeline of events I don’t think it’s a stretch to suggest that discussions likely ended due to the change in government / election. Therefore the local MP just wants to make sure Labour pick up the batten as quickly as possible. Horses for courses, I think the title maybe would lead people to think something negative has happened.
Well Universal did state that they'll come to a decision (possible approval towards the end of the year). The delay is due to the surprise election being called and the new labour govt being in place. The election threw a slight spanner in the works but luckily the local MP who was reelected seemed to be doing a good job trying to press forward with it. I suspect that most likely that Universal will likely agree to this at the earliest of September.
