great content! I have been to tokyo and kyoto and really enjoyed my time there. The bullet train is so cool and I did no tknow they would bring food carts around
hihi, I wrote quite a long list but I hope it helps 🥹 I couldn't think of any specific stores, but you will def find something to shop for in these locations. 1. Don Quijote (tax free store) - basically has everything from food to makeup, skin care and clothing *the Dotonburi location was SUPER crowded so I advise going to a different location or not during peak time eg. 5pm* 2. Namba station - there were so many people at this station, even at 12am. We didn’t explore all of it because there was just too much to do. There’s a mall called O1O1 that I enjoyed exploring. Every level sells different things. Right next to it is a street market called なんば南海通. There’s so much food to try. You can try the traditional Japanese takoyaki and okonomiyaki and they aren’t overpriced. I think tourists go here, but it wasn’t overbearing and it was not crowded at all. 3. Dotonburi - all tourists go here, but I think you gotta go once in your life. There are food markets and all different kinds of street markets located there but it can get verrrry crowded depending on what season you go. Hopefully it’s not too crazy when you go :) 4. Orange street - quite a few tourists go here, but I wasn’t really into the fashion here, but it’s a cute shopping street with some well known streetwear brands eg. Carhartt, Supreme and some local Japanese clothing brands. 5. Explore the subways/train stations - there are a lot of subway food, jewellery and clothing stalls located in the subways and many tourists don’t go to them so it’s nice to shop freely without being squashed by people. The products are not overpriced and I spent quite a bit of time just wandering through these subways. Also, quite a few malls are connected to these train stations, so you might be able to explore a random mall. PS. Every restaurant in Japan is open for a reason. There was not one time I didn’t have a good experience or I didn’t enjoy the food. Even if the restaurant looks sketchy, the food is AMAZING. Even in tourist heavy location areas, it might be slightly more expensive then a local restaurant, but the food will not disappoint. Anyhowwww, I hope you enjoy your first trip to Osaka 🥹
