Hi, I'm Bailey Strasser and I am the host of the News Show/Podcast Wiscosports Weekly.
All of my content is all sports mainly Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Bucks, Milwaukee Brewers, Wisconsin Badgers, Marquette Golden Eagles, Etc. Except Hockey because Wisconsin still doesn't have a team yet.
Noticeably absent is any women’s sports at UW. They are responsible for way more national titles in the last 20 years than the men. Love the list, but let’s make it complete.
My favorite Brewers moment was one game away from the World Series. Was better than teasing me with that shit in 1982. Milwaukee, a low venue. Milwaukee won't be allowed to win a world Series in my lifetime I'm afraid. Been watching them for 50 years if you'd like to shit on me with some nasty comment.
I cannot exactly date it: I would guess mid 1980's. My memory is Michigan at Wisconsin. 31 seconds left in the 1st half. Badgers either kick or punt. Michigan receiving team muffs the ball near the goal-line, badgers recover and convert to an instant touchdown, and extra point. Badgers kick off, and exact same thing happens again. Another instant touchdown and extra point. Badgers kick again, and I don't recall how it happens but before the end of the half the Badgers have possession of the ball in field goal range. Final play of the half - field goal. 17 points in 31 seconds. Took the wind right out of Michigan (if I remember the opponent correctly). The other interesting statistic of the game (other than the badgers won) was that there was a tie for the leading receiver for the Michigan Quarterback.... A badger defender. Film/video of those 31 seconds exist somewhere. I've saw it on TV back in the day.
Besides kickers tell me what running back , wide receiver or tight end had better statistics then they did under farve and rogers....that's right NONE DID
Come on the long pass vs #1 Nebraska back in 1975 is tops or Rufus Ferguson Billy Marek highlights is embarrassing neither is mentioned they were all wisconsin had..that's ALL WE HADE BACK IN THE 70'S
Weird clips of Beliema under 300 pmbs.... FYI HIS GOING TO SUE WEE ARKANSAS BEHIND ALVEREZ'S BACK ALL DUE TO RAZORBACK ALUMNI JERRY JONES WHO TAKE AWAY JIMMY JONES 3 SUPER BOWLS NOT WON ANYTHING SINCE NOR ARKANSAS.....
Nebraska been a big 10 bottom dweller since joining 14 yrs ago.....regardless the coach can't tackle and qb's are TO MACHINES...but new coach will turn it around.....but now with free agency and nil may not work out I mean what African American wants to attend a state 95% white and Nebraskas subsidized farmers can't compete or try to match the other top 50 schools nil payments...finally with all the Kaos created the players should have been paid years ago....
The thing I remember the most about the Michigan win is Joe Panos caring for a young woman that had nearby been crushed by the mob wanting to rush the field.
Thanks for bringing back some memories. I saw all of them live except for the Lombardi era, a lot of them in person. I was at the rainy Monday night game vs. Minnesota. Sitting in the south end zone where Freeman ultimately ended up. Stunned silence as they fell to the ground. I screamed, "He fucking caught it!" Got smacked by my grandmother, and then a roar of cheers! I'm not sure about the year, but It was the early 90s. I was around 13
Thanx for including Majik Man play. Mom wanted to see the game again because she said he'd take the Pack to a Super Bowl. She was always a staun h Packer fan. She knew everyone on GB and Bears and friendswith the wives. I tried for a long time to get something like this for her to no avail. She passed the first year of Covid with it pretty bad. She was a healthy almost 90, but it still got her. I miss her and going to games. Thank you again. (I'm subscribed)
They didn't re-sign Cook as he was hurt too much and aside from that one play he didn't really contribute that much. He wanted way more than the Packers were willing to pay him. The Packers made the right choice.
2018 Brewers win 10 of 12 and last 7 straight to force 163 against the CUBS and Win the Division needs to be higher than 16. That team was fun to watch!
