It depends if you wish to have a replaceable blade. But this saber cost about the price of a replaceable blade. With that said, did you know Saber Theory has a new neopixel (with replaceable blade) for $120?
Just received mine. Very cool! The sounds and quality are awarding for the price point. I found it on Amazon for only $80. I had 3 from Ultrasabers many years ago but lost them when I moved. This is a very good saver for the price!
Well, the commonly accepted wisdom is, it’s best to use a baselit for dueling bc of the risk of break a pixel LED with a neopixel blade. My anecdotal experience however is, I have never broken a neopixel in dueling. Whether it’s my battle blade from Bendu Armory, or my standard blades that came with the saber. I train twice a week, and do sinwali routines with my instructor. What I have seen break was my instructor’s base lit LED. You literally only have 3 LEDs, and one of his broke, limiting him to any color that doesn’t contain blue. So between the two, I’ve seen a baselit break and have yet to break a pixel. When a baselit breaks an LED, it affects the whole saber. When a neopixel blade breaks an LED. It affects a small section of the blade. With that said, for tournament and for speed, go with baselit. For filming and choreography, go with baselit. I use a neopixel to baselit converter or two of my hilts for quick dual use of my favorite stunt hilts.
@@LightsaberCultureThank you for such an insightful response! Just to make sure I understand does the Neopixel to Baselit converter just allow you to use a Baselit blade while having the luxeries of a Neopixel saber? And is there typically a difference in the hilt itself between Neopixels and Baselits or is it all just differences in the blade?
I think kuvpot messed up on mine. I bought the silver one not knowing the black is better, but I have a lot of features that I didn't know about with it. I think they put the black ones motherboard into my silver one. And it glitches out here and there. This is my second day having it, and it locked up with the rainbow color and I couldn't turn it off. So I just let it run out of battery. It worked fine mostly, I was super slow with the controls. But I fired it up again today and it did the same thing. From the vids I saw, the battery shouldn't be removable, but like 20 mins ago, I tried it very gently and it came out with ease and I didn't hear any snapping or anything. Mines definitely defective. I think that's the reason why
Also it worked great like 20 times before it started glitching. I was showing a friend and trying to go through all the features. But then it locked up. So when it died, I charged it again and it worked fine for the rest of the night till it turned on, but the blade was not on. So I just turned it off and left it alone for the rest of the night, and charged it a bit. This morning, I came home so I could mess with it again and it worked fine for about an hour, and then the blade was reversed, it turned on when I turned it off, and vice versa.
And the videos I watched on this one said the blade isn't removable, but it came with an Alan wrench and extra screws. Idk what's going on. I thought I did enough research before buying a cheap neo pixel but it's not what I saw in the videos.
By "not removable" it doesn't have the neopixel saber quick contact connector that standard neopixels have. It uses a wired connector clip that isn't as easy to remove or replace.
The blade is not replaceable like a standard neopixel. However, the price of this lightsaber is the same as the price of a standard neopixel blade. Duel at your own risk.
if i had to choose between HOCET, KUVPOT Neopixel, and KYBERS Basic Series in terms of light, sound, and dueling, which would you suggest. thank you !!
Depends. Typically, I would not recommend it for dueling because the blade is not replaceable. However, it should noted that the price of a standard neopixel blade replacement is about the same or more than this lightsaber.
The tri-cree adapter generally don’t do well with thin necks. Even tall cups like these. The adapter is best with a chassis that gives enough room for them like a XenoPixel 3.0.
I heard somewhere that Plagius had a few people he was thinking about training to be his apprentice, including palpatine, maybe qimir is one of these people
Or Qimir is Plagueis' apprentice (Plagueis is a Muun, not a human, which makes him even more menacing). From a trailer we see another flashback where Sol and Tobin are fighting Kelnacca. In the first episode, we see Master Indara say that she encountered a non-registered Force User while in Episode 4, there are two important moments. First, they suspect a split "faction" of Force Users and second not even the Jedi know what truly happened to Brendok. Vernestra clearly suspects Sol. The way I see it, they will all die by the end of the series and the Jedi will blame it on those four jedi while Plagueis (or whoever is behind Qimir) or Qimir himself will continue his plan.
He's probably a Ren which technically isn't a sith it's a Ren very different things I get most people are upset saying that acolyte ruins the cannon but it truly doesn't Qimir never stated to be a sith flat out he said you might call me a sith because that's how the Jedi categories dark side users but there are multiple other dark side factions such as being a Ren it's almost like a dark knight faction I'm also tired of people sitting here like acolyte pushing a gay agenda because of the two witches making a baby but ignoring the fact that palpatine and his master created a baby too and that also doesn't ruin the cannon the chosen one is the direct result of two siths messing with the force in order to create life or to be more specific they tried to essentially give birth to the anti christ what the witches did was very different they weren't trying to create a light side baby or a dark side baby the babies were neutral thus the force allowed it
