we are building a new house and we are using brownstone board & batten, siding and martgaux beige stone veneer. should we use charcoal shingle or canadian driftwood shingles for our roof
Our roofer wants to install shingles on 2.5/ 12 pitch. He will use Wip300 ice and water barrier underlayment plus Palisades Synthetic Underlayment system. GAF Timberline shingles will go on top. Is that a proper install?
Depends where you live...if you have a winter then no...water will sit more on ur roof and make it easier to have wind drivin rain and ice dams...I usually use flat roofing anything under a 4/12
Correct. Flat roofs are ALWAYS a bad idea. Best to avoid if at all possible.. If you happen to own a home that already had a flat roof now you'll know to choose wiser next time..
Is the flat roof that much more difficult? I heard because of the slow slope, the rain water is harder to dispel. I'm thinking of doing this job. @@billbyrd1361
weathered wood is gray. Only tricky part if you notice , all colors look darker when you look at the samples up close, and when you look at them from far away installed the colors look lighter.
