Hits real hard after completing Endwalker. It really takes me back to when I first started off. I always wanted to play the game but had no device to actually run it. That was until I bought a PS5 back in November of 2020 lol. I'd say my journey started in December that year with the free trial. I did a bunch of goofing around while attempting to learn the game as a Lala but felt a bit lonely. Seeing randoms emote and hang around one another had me yearning for that as well. Unfortunately, I was extremely shy at the time and would only watch at a distance. It's funny. Right when I was beginning to close the game to take a break from ARR's story, a small group of players dressed in suits begun interacting with me. Emoting and having causal conversation. They then invite me to their party and helped unlock the gold saucer which I had no knowledge about. It was a fun and refreshing experience I hadn't had in a game like this before. With mmos, I usually don't become attached due to the cluttered nature they'd have with daily log ins and in your face material rewards. But after that experience, I begun to slowly understand why people love this game and that point was only proved further after the completion of post-ARR and into the beginning of Heavensward. I wanted to know/explore the world more and make new friends along the way. Final Fantasy XIV is a special game. Cannot wait for Dawntrail!
The AI was ruthless in SC1 and quite inventive, if attacked with air/ground forces it will immediately counter you something, but in SC2 was way easier.
Once you learn how to resist the first attack it's really bad! I've beaten 3 pcs and I'm bad... some guys even more. There's a mod called BWAPI that improves AI so much that it's like playing against a Korean pro-player.
There is this ost that often plays during 1to1 cutscenes with nanamo or emotional cutscenes, I can't find it anywhere. I am at the quest lvl70 - A Sultana's Strings and it played again on the cutscene with nanamo in her quarter in uldah, when she speaks about Rauban future. This piece of music is probably one of the most beautiful piano and ost I've heard from ff14 so far ! It gives me ff8 vibes for some reason. If someone knows the title I'll be grateful!
