Super vid! Saved my sweat and tears on this project. After replacing a couple of American made headliners, I was expecting more fasteners vice clips. Less work with the clips after you showed where they were hidden. Thanks mate!
Just found your channel. Iam thinking about buying a 4.2 supercharged myself. Can i ask what you paid for yours with that mileage? Did it have any history. The 4.2 is a brilliant engine and yours is a good advertisement. Other than this airbag issue have you had many problems. Cheers..
Morning and thanks for the comment. We have a vlog coming soon which we mention the price in so you will see that then. The 4.2 is awesome in so many ways and has a lot of history. But currently we have a suspension issue that I’m trying to fix as the car is on bump stops (I might have caused this). I will get to the bottom of this very soon. Good luck on your search for a great 4.2. I know ours might be louder then some but have been told by our local main JLR dealer that it sounds awesome and like an SVR.
Hi, Leave the exhaust on it sounds great, ive got the L320 4.2 supercharged, with lpg as well and got stainless fitted with one middle resonator deleted i love it, turns some heads... I had trouble with my air suspension, blew the compressor, JLR wanted £1600 or there about but found a guy who used to worked there and had started his own business doing 4x4s, £780 with him.. Believe you me they can be a nightmare but I'd never get rid of mine till it died, Love driving it.. Happy motoring 👍
i agree it sounds awesome but sometimes it needs to be a little less in your face, so a couple of mid silencers will do the trick i think. fingers crossed we don't have to much hassle, but then again i would rather have an L322 with some issues to sort then a boring car. we love driving ours and would not get rid of it. the plan is to make it as good as we can, keep on top of everything and enjoy. i might face lift it. what is your opinion on facelifting them? cheers for the message.
I heard the 4.2 supercharged and 4.4 are reliable and are the best when it comes to longevity is this true? I want to buy one but ive heard of the 5.0 having timing chain issues
I can’t comment on the 5.0 as I have not had one. But I have also heard the 4.2 sc and 4.4 (do you mean the TDV8) are both good engines. Depends if you want petrol or diesel? The L322 is a cool car though. Cheers for the comment 🤛🏻
@anthonyk nice. Again I can only talk for the 4.2sc as we have one and it has almost done 225000 miles now so that says a lot. But you need to look after them for longevity. As I guess you know. Good luck on finding a great L322
Will be honest with you, we got the car like this but, what I do know is the exhaust system has no cats, no middle boxes and the rear massive box has been replaced with 2 smaller boxes. Does sound good makes an awesome noise when accelerating. In sport mode and manual when you down shift it really pops and I mean pops not like a VW / Audi map pop. Hope this helps? But we will be replacing it back to standard as it’s a bit much when doing the school run 🤫
No I did not but you could hear the air coming out and also feel it when you put your hand around the air bag. Should I run a diagnostic still? Will it have a code that needs removing?
Cheers for the advice. I will look in to getting one. New video coming soon on her as she is currently off the road. What do you think of the exhaust? As I do have an original to go on just wondering what people think of the current one?
It’s manifold back but not the nicest system really just with the cats and centre boxes cut out and pipe welded in. It’s how it was a when we got the car. I do have an original exhaust to go on just getting the current issue with her sorted and then it will be exhaust time. Cheers for the comment though I did think it would be readings making the EML come on. Do you have an L322?
@@theburts no l322 yet although seriously considering one. Especially the 4.2SC Definitely seems the best engine, and what you spend in fuel you save in repair costs compared to the tdv8
Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view !" Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam ." Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!" Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window ? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..." Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!" Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky." Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction." Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?"
Great job my mate. My R50 was gray, and just got in boack suede this morning. Got all out, now i will clean old glue off and spray and lay the new suede. Great video. Your video was soothing with those jams in background. 💯🤙
@@nielsjunker1487 when it comes to Newcastle some people only see the money, but you have done very well this season with out spending much money. So I think you could become the next Manchester City of done correctly.
Real nice video sir. Was thinking of doing this to my chili r53. Would you say the job was tedious altogether? Because looking at the after product the work looks worth it!
The job is well worth doing and not as hard as you would think at all. Just get a good days weather ahead of you and go for it. Does yours have a sunroof? If not it will be even easier
@@theburts I have a sunroof as well soo I’m the same boat as you Mate. Gotta take everything out before installing the new. My headlining now is a grey but, I want to go more for a black, dark look on the interior like yourself. Since the guts are red I think it will accent it nice. Again just want to say I Appreciate you taking your time with the different angles and such. Not many videos out there for us mini guys!!
If you're not recovering from an injury or anything, Id strongly suggest benching with free weights rather than on the Smith machine. The path the bar naturally takes with a proper bench press isn't straight, so using a Smith machine doesn't let you move as much weight as efficiently
