Just downloaded your free tabs pack!! I am better at learning the tabs if they are right in front of my face. Thank you for this awesome tutorial!! You ROCK!
This is definitely one of the coolest techniques and one that I've been putting off learning for a long time because it looks intimidating lol. They're easier than they look, though. Thanks for the lesson.
I would recommend practicing using just an amp if you can. Start with a clean tone and then switch to distortion. I find plug-ins are a bit more forgiving, so I like to practice with an amp.
correctly muting the strings is one of the more difficult parts of the technique! it's great if you can mostly be muting with your fretting hand, rather than relying on the picking hand. if you're talking noise/hum from your gear, then yea that's something you should fix@@urbanebicycler2173
@@clinttustin that's a good idea. This is a lot to ask I know but can you please direct me to your video specifically and extensively teaching how to be able to grasp and understand the muting of the said fretting hand? I apologize for this dummy of a person that I am but I really and truly will appreciate all the help that you may consider giving me.
Killer licks! Still have to ask though, when sweeping, is there a preferred way to hold your arm and hand, and then positioning your fingers on the neck for efficiency? Been working on sweeping quite a bit but still seemingly having trouble in terms of clean sound, idk if any of those factors would be an issue, or if it also comes down to tone and gear?
I need help. I have a very simple canon 200d mark ii . I want to show my face on DSLR while cooking in landscape only. The problem is I am too tall, if I show my face, my kitchen platform is not showing up
Kurt Rosenwinkel is another legato player. Doesn’t do it as much as the guys listed here, but he’s heavily inspired by Holdsworth. John Cordy is another solid legato player too. Awesome video bro!
