You cab put the resistor anywhere in line with the LED. The ones I sell have it right next to the LED but it can bae anywhere in the wiring depending on if you have fit issues. I normally use 680 ohm LED's.
everyone, is it my impression or has Tamiya been coming out with new truck kits in recent years but are the cabines used always the same? what do you say?
@@DPWian I think licensing is the issue am dying for them to come out with a new US truck ages now so I companies don’t want to give them license for them to do a model. Scania and Mercedes are big in the rc industry here in uk hence is easy for them to get licenses form these companies hence why we have so many of these models
Hi Bob, thanks for all these videos, they have been very helpful! I bought my first 2 kits of USM-RC-3 after watching your tutorials. Im not using Beier's esc controller as Ive my trucks equipped with the Hobbywing quicrun fusion pro. So far everything has been working great, except for one major issue, I dont know how to set my reverse lights and sounds after 2 backwards stick movement such as the Tamiya's MFC... I need the breaks of the quicrun but If move the stick back the motor breaks, but the Beier think Im already reversing.. How can I fix that?
Hello Bob, please tell me how to install the ST8 transmitter on Tamiya MFC-03. I recently purchased it and am using it, but I have a problem turning on the light and I don't know what to do.
You need to set "conditions" in the menu. Word they use for dual rates. You can verify you have it set in the monitor - should go from 75% to 100% on channel 2&4. Use switch A for conditions.
Can it do dual receivers AND dual models at the same time? Like say a truck and wireless trailer with seperate paired 6 channel receivers, then flip a switch and change to a different model like a dozer or excavator on the lowboy?
Planning to buy a grand hauler and founding your channel is the best thing ever with all your tutorials and builds into super helpful to watch before I begin my build. I do have a question as I want to carve out a space at home to put it and really ask a favor of you, could you kindly measure the grand hauler with a trailer can be either a container or fuel tank type and give me the dimensions of length width and height of both hauler and trailer. Want to build a case for it first, much appreciated!

Hi Bob, so glad you are doing these videos as it makes figuring things out much easier. Just got done with the initial install on my Globeliner and have been playing around with just the speed control and sounds so far, and these have cleared up some confusion on what I was doing wrong (kept having the horn sound when I shifted the transmission, drove me nuts) The other questions I have now is if you can 'set' the parking brake so you have to release it to start driving (similar to the engine startup, which I want to do separately, i.e. start the engine but not 'put it in gear' until the brake is released) It may not be possible and that's OK, as this thing has a ton of other features I'm looking forward to learning about. Keep up these awesome videos, and I'm looking forward to the lighting ones next for both the truck and trailer (my trailer lights are on the way...)
I been watching u for a while...and I am tired of hearing about that dam motor...make them replace it with the proper motor or stop selling their dam over priced product.
Spent some time tonight building the transmission for my Grand Hauler. Never used the book at all, just watched and paused this video. Much better watching this to build the transmission!! Kudos to you Bob for all these informative vids you post !!
