In middle eastern literature rose is strong symbol of sexualized masculinity. Rose for men and deep black eyes for women, (because a woman’s eyes are often the only thing a man can see when he meets a woman.) These two tropes come up over and over in Middle Eastern poetry.
I just tried this. AWFUL! With hundreds if not thousands of fragrances out there why bother with this? There’s nothing unique about it. Give me a break folks. From Louis Vuitton and it’s unforgiving prices I expect great results. This is an abject failure.
This is the problem when brands hire creative directors who are fashion fans but not fashion designers. Like Virgil before him, Pharrell has cool personal style but he has no ideas of his own to bring to the label. So we just get more overpriced repetitive derivative crap with an LV logo slapped on.
I purchased this fragrance last week.. I wore it to a cigar bar and received quite a few comments from the ladies, I personally think is the lil brother to Blue Moon by Kilian. Overall I think it is worth the Purchase.
@@weeween7 I haven't smelled Lovers yet but I have smelled Au Hasard and the 1st thing came to my head was how it smells like Santal 33 without the pickle smell. So if everyone is saying lovers smell like Santal 33, I'd say it'll be redundant to owe lovers. Sample Sample Sample.
Nice review. I was in Harrods a few weeks ago but it had not been released yet. Interesting that you compare it to Turandot, because Turandot (and Areej Le Dore's Antiquity ) re my favourite chgypres in my collection. I love the way the icy fruity opening gradually fades to a warm powdery coffee and heliotrope dry down. I find it perfectly unisex, but a more masculine version is welcome, especially since I found RDHP 15 to be a bit too feminine such that I gave my 7.5 mL to my wife.

I really like the way you think. I just bought this fragrance without remorse. I have a collection of around 100 bottles and this fragrance will add the crown literally. Thank you brother.
