Overlanding, Camping, Trucks, Gear, and all other things that represent freedom. I'm an outdoorsman who enjoys all activities that I can do with friends and family, especially if I get to play with new toys in the process! Living in Colorado, that list is pretty much endless.
You'll find a wide variety of material on my channel, but all with a similar theme. If it looks like you're into some of the same things, go ahead and subscribe and follow along. I'm here for new friends, new adventures, new opinions, and rad times.
If you can place your cooler in a freezer for a couple of days before you have to use it, you will get an extra day's worth of cold. Insulating the outside of the cooler works, too.
What kind of zipper issues were you having on the cover? Mine has jammed a few times on the blue part (the underside/bottom half of the cover zipper assembly) and that part has been torn up a good bit as a result. I've lubed the zipper to try to make that less likely but not sure it's helping.
Great review Noah, better than most. I just wanted to add a tip or two. That moisture on you inner tent walls in the morning, ... that's condesation from your exhaled breath and vapour from your body heat etc. If you open up those roof skylights, and all windows and doors so that the screens are closed but the closures are partially open, that will go a long way to preventing much of that vapour from condensing on the inside of your tent. The colder it it is outside, and thus the colder the surface (tent walls) that your breath etc. is contacting, the worse the condensation problem will be, (ie. in cold weather and/or winter camping you will battle indoor rain, frost and ice in the tent overnight). The other point I noticed is when you opened the tent up with the ladder, if you extend that ladder all the way you have a much longer lever to pull down on easing the unfolding effort. then once half open, walk away from the tent pulling the unfolding half past 'top-dead-centre' and then gravity works in your favour the rest of the way before shortening the ladder. There is also lots of good available accessories such a iPhone/iPad mounts that clamp to those frame bars inside and LED light strips that can hang from the bars, a 12-volt car battery in the back of your truck bed with a solar panel trickle charger sitting on the cab to keep all electronics going, can add some nice entertainment and ambience if you are waiting out the weather up there. Thx for the video and enjoy the roof top camping.
Newest variation of this cooler has heavy duty buckles instead of those rubber straps, and it also has a drain plug now. Just picked up a few of them for $30 on clearance at WM
Would love an update on your holster set up over the last 3 years since this video. I started with a TRex arms side car 2.0 when i switched guns and positions. After 8 months it’s broken. They were lightning fast with the replacement no questions asked. But looking to upgrade. I like the idea of ditching the mag when not needed. Bravo config for sure. Thanks for a great video on the subject.
I'm looking at getting one of these coolers. I need it to fit in a metal frame that I have so it needs to be a certain size. Would you be able to give me the measurements at the very bottom please. Side to side and front to back. Thanks.
I wad almost gonna get one if the ozark in case of a power outage etc in winter but I have seen the lifetime 28 and 55 quarts do well in reviews also. I have been looking for a review in nIcehard rotor molded cooler or campers as well for cost wise yeti and rtic are well too but soooo expensive. but there have been some igloo coolers too that finally have the lid gasket I want yo see how reviews go as well realize use to compare the ice test and etc so hopefully something will come that would be awesome to have on hand in case but yea showing it used for camping was a real user as for the ice melting for camping awesome
Mini Solar Ti; You can steplessly dim down a bulge and all other hungry electricity consumers with a 5000W dimmer (7, EUR). I run 5 dimmers in parallel on an 850W inverter. Kettle 2.2KW at 150W runs 12 hours a day, so the water is always hot. The room is also nicely heated. 2.5KW washing machine runs in parallel with dimmed to 200...400W. Iron, dishwasher, oven, electric heater, coffee machine, all internal heating are throttled with me. Videos about it on my channel ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eC2olbCBhh0.html The inverter stays cool, quiet and the MOSFETs remain intact because extreme current peaks no longer arrive at the inverter. Now every Mini PV Inverter is enough to sell large devices...
Terrible gun. Wouldnt trust my life with it. 2 years into owning it and shooting it only a handful of times, it broke Internally not allowing me to be able to disassemble the weapon. Glock everyday all day
I bought the AR-556 MPR when it first came out they had Ruger reps behind the counter selling it to me. Less than $600 out the door. Same AR is now $1000. Loveeee it
Ice is still present... ice water is actually still 32 degrees cold. Cold enough to keep your drinks and food safe :) I would be happy with it. At least you have cold drinks and food :)
All good you forgot to pack your window etc poles on closing they still in the back of you bukkie.. Cool man oh no shoes in tent lol but only dogs in tent u funny hey Goodman good video. Now lets see your better half hava go. . please
Don't like the Ozark Trail coolers at all. If I had to spend my money on a Walmart "higher end cooler", I'd go with one of their Lifetime brand coolers. They're way better than Ozark Trail.
"little piece of metal" Gas block? Shorten the thread on the m-lok Bolt and that "little piece of metal" Shouldn't interfere with that groovy fore grip. Nice truck
