When applying torque values ALWAYS begin with inner most fasteners and work outwards towards the ends (moves stresses outwards towards ends vs in against the middle and binds/locks stresses in middle). A good practice is to rap rail screws with plastic end of screwdriver or plastic mallet 3-5 minutes after torque to release tension on threads. In aviation maintenance S.O.P. is to torque in 3 increments to final torque value ( e.g. 75 ft lbs final torque done at 25,50, & 75).. 5 minutes after final torque give one last snap on wrench.
So you're saying that you pushed 4 (or so) patches wet with IOSSO on them through the bore is it make that difference in about 1 or 2 mins or so? Or are you saying that you scrubbed the bore back and forth with patches wet with IOSSO about 4 times? What does "further cleaning in between" mean?
First I cleaned with patches (wet with some bore cleaner), then check where bore looks dirty with borecam and try to work back and forth on them with iosso and maybe some light oil, then clean again the whole bore with wet patches („in between“), then check again with borecam and repeat with Iosso etc. Works for me
@@BarneyLeBrain I just bought the Tactical EVO .308 with a 28" MRR barrel, I have to break in... are you still satisfied with your sabatti? I read everywhere that they are very reliable, robust , and very accurate .
Thank you my friend...this version is a vast improvement over the first one I saw....much more detail and more clearly shown also...thank you...yours is the only one (that I'm aware of) that shows the install in up close detail...I was seriously hesitant about disassembling the trigger and not being able to REassemble it properly (my residual weakness on my LHS from my 2002 stroke makes detail work more difficult than it used to be...this video is a lifesaver!!!
Thanx for the detail...I need to remove mine prior to painting the receivers - I have the (IIRC) JP pin retainers for both sides...will I be able to eliminate the spring retainer during install??? I have difficulty using my left hand/side due top a 2002 stroke and installations liker these become more difficult when pon;y onre hasnd co operates...
That's a good post thanks man! because if you went by the written instructions you would die of old age. But this is the only post and there's no detail on how its adjusted. and iv had a problem with the safety not working because there's too much movement on the safety arm and that sets it off. for $900NZ I would have thought that there would have been more posts like this to support the product. also I don't understand why the safety arm is tapered off under the safety. long story short this should have fitted straight onto a bushmaster with no issues but there is. sending back for refund. Gutted:(
Hey Dustin, semi-auto rifles are quite okay over here. There are some restrictions like Barrel length (not too short) and some cartridges are not allowed (e.g 7,62x39RUS). That's about it.
