Hi Frank, the trailer is holding up just fine as we hadn’t used it in two years. I like having it in case I buy an old beater bike to fix up. I’m sure it will be used again for a long distance move eventually.
Naw, I mostly got it to take an extended trip out west with the bikes and carry all of our crap. Donna wasn’t much into riding the distance due to the heat. It was actually the first time I used a trailer.
The cover is made by Ford. I saved money by using reward points from the purchase of the truck to cover most of the costs of the cover. Thanks for watching!
Yeah, Donna likes the looks of the square one too. I thought about getting the mustache one my self due to the foot rests. The I remembered I probably wouldn’t use em that much anyway. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for making this follow up video. The exhaust sounds about like I'd expect. Glad to hear that you're not having any problems with holes or welds, maybe what I was hearing about was was pervious designs on older models. Roughly how many miles did you put on the bike between videos.
Hi Steve, I would guess I put around 10,000 miles between videos. I did notice the decibels are somewhat higher from when I first installed the exhaust. It was around 96 at idle, now it's about 100. Thanks for watching! Jerry
Jerry, I'm in the market to replace my stock Heritage Classic exhaust with true dual exhaust like you have on this bike of yours and I'm doing it for the same reason you did, to put full size saddle bags on the bike. Now that you've had this a couple of years I've got a few of questions: 1. I've heard that in the past that Freedom Performance has had some welds break that hold the shields on to the pipes, have you experienced any of that? 2. I'd really like to her what these pipes sound like on your bike, is it possible for you to post a brief video that highlights the sound. 3. What's your overall opinion of the exhaust system since you've had it for a few years? 4. Are the Hogworkz saddle bags holding up the way you expected? Thanks in advance. Steve
Hi Steve, I will answer your questions in the order. 1. I haven't had any issues with the welds on the Freedom Performance pipes. The only issue I've had is the chrome peeling on the endcaps as mentioned in the video. I would recommend getting the black endcaps if you should decide to go with the Freedom Performance Racing Exhaust. Keep in mind, it was quite a job to fit them on the bike. 2. I'll make a video today regarding the sound of the exhaust. I'll post it today or tomorrow. 3. Overall, I like the exhaust system. Are there better options? There may be, although these pipes were what I was looking for as far a giving me clearance to install the hard bags. I was thinking of fish tails, but when I saw these, I really liked the look. It seems I have some modest performance gains, upon accelerating, though I have not had the bike dyno tested. 4. The Hogworkz saddle bags are holding up. I did have one of the mounting brackets break a while back. (there's a video) I called the company to buy another one and they sent me a new set of brackets at no charge. I also had an issue with the locks during installation. I called and they sent me several replacement locks. Their customer service is very good. The only thing now, after 2 or 3 years is the finish on the bags had developed scratches on the lids and some pitting on the rear of the bags. I will add this to the upcoming video. It's strange as I have not done anything to scratch the lids. I hope I have answered your questions, Steve. Thanks for your comments and thanks for watching! Jerry
Should of told that driver he is full of chit if he did it right he wouldnt of had hard time pushen it lol I del stuff to that trailer less then 400lbs true taken 400 + lbs copiers up steps. But nice trailer got me a kendon fold up a few weeks ago. Nice to ride up an off rather then pushen. Best of luck with your new trailer great investment
I took delivery last week of the single bike model. Three casters on the bottom. Exactly same as the Kendon but $1500 cheaper. Labor in SC explains the price 🤔
The exhaust is made by Freedom Performance. It’s called a true dual racing exhaust. I really like the sound and look. The only drawback is the some of the chrome on the exhaust tips has flaked off. New tips cost 180 bucks a piece. If I were to buy it again I
Very helpful vid. I need to get some wiring from the battery to my GPS mount on my new 2023 Heritage and your vid showed me how much room there is-- thanks!
Yes the pivots are adjustable. Maybe that’s why it was a minor struggle to get the bikes off. The wheels held on tight throughout the trip,. I’ll adjust them the next time we use it. Thanks, and thanks for watching!
I have also just sold my 2011 Roadking. Now I have a '22 Heritage and am wanting to do the same. But i also want a police seat. Anybody trying to do this too?
My dad was stationed there in the late 80's. My twin brother and i were born in Greenock. We lived at Waverley Court in Dunoon. Thanks for the great video
They’re made by a company called Hogworkz. They make a hard bag conversion kit for softails and other parts. You can find them online @ Hogworkz.com. Thanks for watching!
How much lean did you lose by putting those pipes on? I love the look and am considering doing it to my 2023, but I’m a bit of an aggressive rider and really like to lean into the curves.
I'm not sure if I've lost any lean with this mod. I would guess there would be some lost on the left side. I generally putt around the state of Florida, not many curvy roads here. Thanks for watching!
This was hilarious. Great stuff. Hope you had a great trip, we visited Edinburgh in September and it is probably of my favourite places. Just magical. Regards Mark
The length of the Maverick’s bed with the tailgate down is 79 inches. The Road King is 96 inches long. It won’t fit in a way that would be secure enough to support the rear tire. Thanks for watching!
I had brother duty aboard the Canopus from 1973 to 1975 I was an HT my brother was a BT .. we both loved our time in Dunoon and truly miss the fish and chips! Our favorite Pub at that time was The John Paul Jones.
I was on the Holland 77-78 The Paul Jones was my hang out too. It’s now a restaurant called The 51st State. There should be another Holy Loch reunion in Dunoon 2026. Something you and your brother might like to attend. Thanks for watching!
Hi, Yes, any of the chocks can be removed. The bracket that the chock is bolted to cannot as it wielded to the rails. Any chock can be adjusted along the bracket by repositioning the bolt that holds the chock. I hope this answers your question. Thanks for watching!
Used to be a hellofa rally yeara ago .. the they started letting golf carts and 4 wheelers in .. and instead of investing in a well , they buolt a bar .. we ran out of water..in the hottest days of the year .. no water on the roads so the the dust was so thick you couldn't breathe.... you constantly had to stop because the golf carts were stopping. And to top it all off, the State started stopping people going in and out ... But at one time it was the best damned Boke rally anywhere.. better than Sturgis and Daytona.... By a long shot....
Enjoyed the video. Nice motorcycle!! It is a shame that Harley Davidson doesn't already have a lot of these parts for 20 grand. But it's cool to make the bike your style but it does come with a price...safe riding
Hi David, I’m glad you enjoyed the video. It’s true, Harley should do things like improve their seats for the amount they get for new bikes. Like you said, customizing is fun. Thanks for watching!
I’ve had them off again recently. I bought different end caps from another company. They didn’t fit, so I sent them back. I’m not cheap, but the price of one of Freedoms caps is $152.00 on sale. About $200.00 regular price.seems like a rip off considering how poorly they held up. I’m sure they configured the caps to only fit their pipes.
