Hey brother. I’m fixing to buy a falcon f20 predator. I was going to go with the mercury but after seeing this I’m thinking about the Yamaha. Is the engine stock or has it been upgraded? Also was the boat full of fuel or was you going light as possible to get top speed? Thanks man! Bad ass video!
What prop pitch? I have a 2021 Falcon F20 with yamaha sho 250 it has a 24p power tech barely getting 71. Thinking of nizpro flash then find a good prop. Thanks super cool!
This has always been my gripe about the Vexus AVX1980. Its a nice tin rig, but my goodness is it underpowered. I dont know how boat manufacturers rate these boats for power, but as an AVX1980 owner I can tell you the boat should have had a 200 and the 2080 should have had a 250. Love everything else about the rig, but its underpowered.
I just purchased a SeaArk Easy 200 w/ a manual 10 JP and a 150 Pro XS. Boat is rated to 200. Considered upgrading to a 200 and hydraulic, but it's an all-around boat for family. Fish, cruise, tube. Boat will do 55-58 now. Plenty fast for a family rig. 65 plus would be nice on occasion, though....
We had on in the shop, best was 58 with a 150 was one person gear and full fuel. Boat is rated underpowered. For a 19 and a half foot boat it doesn’t have enough power.
Boat handles amazing. All I was doing in the video was feeling for the steering tension. Bumping the wheel left and right…. It’s a habit, I do it in all boats fast or slow. Just me making sure steering is still there…🤣🤣
@@Snailpowerdfordmy son's Triton tr20 has a 225 ProXS and above 65 it starts trying to chine walk. By working the whel left and right, you can drive the chine walking out of it.
@@michaelwhitmire1496 I recently picked up a 17 model x19 with a Yamaha 150 offshore (underpowered I know, but got a great deal) with a 4 blade prop, I can get 55.4mph GPS at 6000rpm. Not super fast I know. But the ride in chop (less than 1 foot rollers) is the same if not better than my old 1990 dynatrak 19ft fiberglass boat. You do get a little spray depending on wind direction. But the ride is excellent. Especially for an aluminum boat. Haven't had it out in any bad storms yet, and don't plan to :)
@@lawman8877 You can flash a 200 SHO to put out over 300 hp, Hydro Tec Marine does it every day. The Yamaha 200, 225, 250 and 300 are all the same motor but with different tuning.

@@kylewiedenfeld8239 was running 67.4 pre work at 5900 RPM. Now running 68.2 at 6100. I do not think I got enough cupping to lift the bow out of the water. They fixed a bent part and blueprinted the prop, should of had them add some cupping.
@@floridafishingfanatic55 68 is pretty fast don’t get me wrong , I got ahold of power tech and they told me my x21 should be mid 70’s no problem straight from the factory, best is 66 with the PT prop, they told me to send in my prop and they will make sure nothing is wrong with it, but I feel like my bow should be out of the water more to, might go off the deep end and get a mark croxston custom with a flash…. I don’t use this boat for BASS , all other events no HP limit
