I added another 100-watt solar panel on the roof and changed the TV to a 12 volt. Did a 7 day trip in CO this summer....got a video on that. Battery sitting at 88 to 90% each morning. Still got no complaints.
Can i suggest getting the TLR sub and the proledge that attaches to it.. You will be able to find holsters that will fit from places like QVO tactical or insane kydex creations
McKinaTec makes the holster for this setup. The one I have is for the Pro Ledge on the XL grip module w/ the TLR 7, but it still works on this Pro Ledge TAR XMACRO. That drawer full of holsters needs to stop growing at some point. The Sub plus a new holster is another $250...cuts into my hunting season shotshells fund.
Can you explain the build? What parts make it Frankenstein? I understand its a different frame but what are the specs of the parts needed to build one?
That is a nice paddleboard setup. I havent considered getting one before, but I am seeing more and more folks have it setup for fishing. I might have to reconsider lol
This one is 11'6" long with a weight capacity of 360 lbs. They are great for shallow water fishing with a sand spear to keep them in place. Not so great if the wind is over 10mph. Your just a sale on this thing. The fishing rack/leaning post I got with it holds two rods and a Plano 3700 tackle box. I have three boards, but this one is my favorite one.
I just got mine out of jail. I am disappointed in the poi on my 300wm. It is 5.5-6in deviation at 100yds. Unfortunately, you have to buy extra parts to mount it on a 9mm or anything else. It's a 9mm can and you can't even mount it on a 9mm out of the box. Good can and a lot of versatility, but I have some gripes
Yea, that is kind of jacked up to not having the cam-lok in the package when you get it. I used the taper mount on my 9mm PCC's, but don't care for shooting pistols suppressed anyway. Is the sound suppression still comfortable with the 300 WM?
with the cost of the suppressor, you would expect to have the parts to be able to use it on a pistol. Company makes you buy all their parts and they aren't exactly cheap either. That's the only beef i have with the company. if i could do it over again, i wouldn't buy it. the suppressor should come stock with the direct thread piston vs the camlok
You're welcome 😊 I don't know what I did that was helpful...just hanging out at elevation for a week. The Wet Mts. are easy access to some great outdoor activities.
Very cool, any idea if 350 legend would work out of this can? I hear different things form different people. I’m assuming if it shoots 9mm and 300 and 308 it would shoot 350 legend but I can’t find any exact info anywhere.
Just pickup up a 'pre-loved' 1708FB (2017 model). Now we need a truck! thanks for your video. Learning more everyday. Now I think we need some solar/batteries !
Any 1/2 ton pickup with tow it. The ReCurve R3 weight distribution hitch is one of the best on the market to keep your camper level going down the road. Solar is a must if you want to go up in the forest and camp for several days. Have Fun!
@@PJP320 Picked up a Ram 150 V8 Hemi. You said your fridge runs on 12V and your single propane last a long time. Our fridge will be using propane mostly. Any idea how long 2 x 20 pounders would last? Also have 2 x 40 watts solar (that came with). Should we upgrade to 100 W? thanks ! Oh and lastly, Is the weight distribution hitch a must have?
@@marygrabill7127 No idea on how long the (2)20 pounders will last, but those fridges are very efficient. The solar depends on the battery. We have a 200 AH battery with 300 watts of solar on the roof now and I have a 100 watt briefcase that I plug in sometimes if its cloudy. Most days when we get up in the morning with everything running on 12volts, we have about 90% battery capacity remaining. If you still have a lead acid battery on the front, you can only use 50% of the AH capacity, so just see what your power consumption is for a few trips before adding more solar. Everybody is different. We just had a few rainy days in Colorado, watching the 12 volt TV and DVD player for a several hours and had 88% battery capacity the next morning. The weight distribution hitch will be a must. When you put 31 gallons of water in the tank which is over the front axel and forward a bit....load the camper for your trip....the tongue weight could push 500lbs., and really squat your Ram. You want the camper level so your tire wear on both axels is even. You will see campers on the road nose down a lot as well as campers that are level with load distribution hitches. It the Ram has the camera up front for the anti collision stuff, it will not work if the truck is squatted pointing the camera up in the air.
Tried to catch the water on the hailstone several times. Really got to live there to get that run. It is still on my bucket list along with Richland Creek.
Love this model. The wife and I are looking at getting a 1720 FB now that they don't make the 1708 anymore unless we find a good used one. Thanks for the tour. I definitely made some notes of your upgrades & accessories.
We looked at the 1720. Bigger shower is great, but no sink or storage in the bathroom. I just added an LG TV that is 19 volt DC with a step down to 12 volt DC. Now everything except the AC is running off of the 200 AH AGM battery. We recently went back to the Buffalo River...(last video)on those bad county dirt roads and the solar panel screws started backing out. Changed them all out so that wont happen again.
Ranger, you rock. Thank you for showing us some of God’s greatest work. Not just the amazing family and fur baby, but I learn about the history and geography of your locations. Thanks!
The Buffalo is an amazing place! This trip was just about the river, the old homesteads and cemeteries would take a week to try and explore them all. Hundreds of caves, waterfalls and just great God fearing folks all over that place.
I had to reattach the solar panel this weekend in Arkansas. It was mounted with the wrong sheet metal screws. I think they may have a recall on that as well. Solar panel flying off on the highway would be a bad day for everybody around.
Great video. In the market for the same tent. Looking to mount it exactly as you did. Flush with the cab in my raptor. How high is your bed rack? Snd obviously you like me you rather have it stick out the back than over the cab
Gotta be about outta breath lol just let them birds work they'd probably come awn in and land if you quit giving away your position lol yall got a damn good pile tho ill say that.
