Yes much louder even with the valve open also gained 35whp on the dyno. I have the stock NPP mufflers with the valve wired to a switch for stealth mode and it’s almost completely silent
@@jetstream_GS I was worried about it catted being quiet, as my way have to run cats legally, but I'm assuming the catted kooks pipe still flows better than the stock cats
@@thomaszinsavage2959 this setup has hi flow cats on it and sounds pretty loud when you’re on the gas, stock cats aren’t that restrictive anyways you may gain 2-3hp with no cats.
Did this setup have drone? I got headers, hi flow cats, and magnaflow mufflers. The drone is unbearable! I’m looking at Corsa Sport axle back for some drone relief…
Yes it still had some drone, I ended up putting the kooks 1-7/8” headers with hi flow cats and a 3” x-pipe to the stock NPP mufflers and wired a switch into the valve fuse and I can close them for a silent ride / stealth mode. It’s truly dead quiet the best of both worlds
@@jetstream_GS good to know! I might have to source some NPP mufflers. The car was already plumbed up with a aftermarket vacuum control, so that might be the best option.
